This completely renovated Canaan Valley chalet offers it all, and more!

We take a week-long motorcycle trip every year, riding everywhere from Sturgis, SD to the Tail of the Dragon and plenty of places in between, so we've stayed at our share of rental properties along the way. This one was advertised accurately and lived up to our expectations. It's a tad off the beaten path, but we had no trouble getting in and out. We routinely spotted deer and other wildlife in the back and side yards, and coming and going from the property. Our stay was in June 2026, so we can't speak to the winter months, this is the Timberline ski resort area, right next door to Canaan Valley, but we were very happy with the accommodations and would gladly recommend this place to others.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The surroundings were beautiful. The property is secluded which we loved. Our dog had a great time romping in the back yard. The hosts were wonderful & answered all of our questions. There was some cable/internet issues during our stay, but the host had someone looking at it right away. The hottub did not work as expected but we did not call anyone on it because it was too rainy to use it anymore. We didn't care, we still enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of room & we all had our own rooms & bathrooms. Beautiful big table to seat the whole family indoors & plenty of room to do the same outdoors. Secluded, but close to local restaurants & activities. Lots of room for game nights w/the whole family. Beautiful back deck. We loved it & highly recommend. It's also inside of a gated community. We did experience a strong dead animal odor in one bedroom making it unusable. When contacting Best of Canaan they send someone to check it out but couldn’t find the source. They said they’d follow up but they did not and the smell got much worse. This was very disappointing as we wanted to use all of the bedrooms. We followed up with Best of Canaan about this but no response. ANice house but a few maintenance issues.

The screen had a hole in it. We tried to fix it but we couldn't. There was also a pair of men's underwear left on one of the beds but we just threw them away

The jacuzzi out side on the deck was a hit! Very relaxing atmosphere. We have been coming to West Virginia for many years and had many rentals and we enjoyed this one the most! We had a couple minor issues and best of Canaan were on it immediately, will definitely rent from them again.
