Portland, Tennessee
This is a one of kind home built in the 1920's with beautiful wood working details, tall ceilings, and lux furnishings to make you feel at home. Portland is about 40 minutes north of Nashville, and 30 minutes south of Bowling Green. Shops, restaurants, and grocery stores are all located within a mile of the home. Treat yourself to a quiet retreat to middle TN, and still have access to all of the sightseeing opportunities.
Simply put, this place feels like home. From our first time walking in, we felt like we belonged here. The high ceilings, spacious bedrooms, and details in the wood work are truly special. We hope that you will feel as comforted and at home as we did during our time living there.
Master bedroom with king bed is upstairs, the second bedroom has one queen bed and connects to the downstairs bathroom, and the third bedroom has two queen beds. The second and third bedrooms are both downstairs along with the kitchen, living room, and dining room.
Family all live in different states so TN/KY was a great mid- way point for all of us. We fell in love with the Yellow House immediately on-line but seeing it in person was so much better. Huge rooms, great yard and convenient to many fun places for the day. Kevin went out of his way to make sure we were happy with everything the house included, especially the Christmas decor. Would love to return. Thanks from all of us for a great Christmas.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in Portland. The description of the house is spot on, everything was as expected. The house is beautiful just as the pictures show. Communication was great with quick response times. Check in process was seamless! I would bring my family back to this house if we ever return to the area.
My wife and I came to Portland, TN to work storm claims in the area. This place was absolutely perfect for our stay. The place is very nice and the host is as good as it gets. If I was ever in this area I would absolutely stay here again.
My husband and I had such a great time at this beautiful property. It’s a gorgeous 1920s house that has been updated while still keeping the old charm. The decor was breathtaking (I need to know where they shop!) and the beds/linens/blankets were incredibly comfortable and cozy. Kitchen was stocked and there was ample shelving to store groceries. Kevin was an amazing host and always answered my questions within minutes of me sending them. I’ve stayed at a lot of rental properties and this place is one of my very favorites. It’s an incredibly special home that’s very close to Nashville and other larger towns. You will love your stay here!
Due to the Great Southwest Fiasco of December 2022, we weren't actually able to get to Nashville for our stay, but Kevin was VERY friendly and accommodating - he was in touch with us Christmas eve and Christmas Day as our plans unraveled, and was willing to work with us and move our reservation to another time. He also offered a refund if we weren't coming back in the next few months. We are coming back and I can't wait to stay at this property!
Beautiful home with so many little touches that created a real “home” experience. Owners really pay attention to all the details that made our family feel comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated and renovated. Absolutely charming!! Walking distance to downtown coffee shop and restaurants.
Hidden Gem!! Beautiful old house carefully modernized and one of the few places we've ever rented that the pictures and description were dead on. Kevin was a great host.
Excellent stay - comfortable for us and two other couples. A few minutes from KY Downs horse track and The Mint Casino. Beautifully restored farmhouse - original hardwoods and trim. Nice living area for gathering. Highly recommend The Brickyard restaurant in nearby Franklin KY for dinner and brunch at Milo’s in Portland. Or road-trip into Nashville. Property manager Kevin was very responsive and helpful with local recommendations. We will stay here again.
