The Wild Rose ~ A Custom Glam Cottage with Theater! In Historic Old St Charles

Everything was great in the house. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and especially with 8 ladies, girls weekend. The house inside was a while lot bigger than looking at it from the outside. One thing, this house, has is a flight of stairs going from the main entry up to the kitchen area. Once in the kitching/dining area it is pretty cozy.

What a lovely place to stay - nice and clean with special thought given to the decor inside and out! The house was conveniently located in the St. Charles' historic district, and had everything we needed. We truly appreciated the owners' responsiveness and kindness.

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end! Beautiful, clean home. One block from St. Charles Main Street. Cold AC! Theater and game room was perfect for the kids! Large rooms with plenty of beds! Laundry room, large kitchen, many bathrooms! Amazing communication from owners! We’ll be back!

This house was just what we hoped for. A clean, nice place for all of us to hang out together and yet so much to do in a walkable location. We had 4 couples going to the NCAA frozen four weekend and all of us loved the house. The only thing I can say is be aware that only 3 of the 5 bathrooms have showers. Two bedrooms are in one hallway with one bathroom so that left 4 adults using one bathroom. The other 2 showers are in bedrooms. Not a great choice but was doable. Just giving a heads up.There were lots of games and a cool theater room so never board. Well done.

Really enjoyed this place. Rooms are very comfortable, fantastic master suite. Didn’t get to use the new theater room, maybe we’ll get to come back to experience that.

The house is so beautiful and such a perfect property for multiple ages. Our young adults loved the theater room and our toddlers loved the toys and books in the family room. We love the location! It's perfect for walking Main Street.

The property is even better than the pictures - not a single detail is overlooked. Our family stayed the last two years with 8 adults and 1 child and there is still way more space for even more to fit comfortably. The location is amazing for walking historic main street, but close enough to drive elsewhere. The beautiful decorations and the amazing movie room and game room are our favorites. Wish we could stay longer! Thanks for an amazing 2 Christmas stays!

They have thought of everything! We felt so welcome in this home! Every inch of space is used for something and it is so well done. The theater room is amazing…watched a movie and my adult sons had a fun time of competing with video games. So close to Main Street!

This is our 3rd year going to St Charles Christmas Traditions! And this is the best house we have stayed in. Perfect location to the Main Street festivities and restaurants. Just a half block away from everything. The house is super clean and the owners have thought of everything plus more that you might want in a vacation home. It’s nice and cozy and super spacious! The kids really enjoyed the movie theater! We will definitely be back!

Three of us were out for the week for work. Loved the house, location, and cleanliness of the house.

This property has so much to offer. Pictures don’t do it justice. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. Plenty of on street parking, and additional parking available behind the house. Communication was great! They even left us a small tray of treats to welcome us. I would give this place a 10 star review if I could. Would definitely stay here again!

Three friends and myself stayed at Doug and Kristi’s beautiful home while exploring Main Street. The home exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely book this home again on our next visit to St. Charles.

Awesome place to stay next to Main St. Home was beautiful and very well decorated. Comfortable beds and plenty of room to spread out and relax.

Came to town with family and friends all age 21+ (except for 1 month old infant) for a concert and to enjoy St. Charles. The house exceeded our expectations; was well stocked, clean, beautifully decorated, and much larger than pictures showed. Was walking distance to Main Street of historic downtown, close to concert (Hollywood Casino Amphitheater), golfing, and Amritsar Casino.
