The 'White Castle' Riverfront Home with Park Views!

This place was perfect for us, close to Sequoia National Park and it had everything we needed. The view of the river was beautiful and listening to the river at night was just perfect.

Enjoyed our stay

My family and I had the best time at the “White Castle”. There was plenty of room plus a mattress and a foldout mattress that folded into a small couch. The balconies were used frequently by all and were also a great location to have a warm drink in the morning. The view from any window was gorgeous. The path to the river was a little rough but we all managed to make it down there and enjoy the view. Our party consisted of people ages 1-55 yrs and they all had an amazing time at the river. We also saw turkeys and deer right over the bridge. Case Mountain Extensive Recreation Management Area which had plenty of hiking trails was only a 4 minute drive and I I would highly recommend it. We all had a blast hiking and enjoying the scenery. I would highly recommend the “White Castle”.

Have your directions in order before entering the area because there is no cell service around the house. The neighbor will yell at you if you walk to the wrong part of the stream, he’s a real jerk. Other than that, the place is exceptional. The house is lovely. The view is wonderful. Plenty of space for our group of 10. Host was perfect and mailed back an iPad my son left in the house. A

Wonderful home base for a visit to Sequoia / Kings Canyon.House was charming and as advertised. The riverside location was charming.

Good communication with clear check in and out instructions. Location is great if you look to explore sequoia national parks but not camp in the park. Enjoyed the large selection of DVDs to watxh with the kids in the evenings and playing the the river.

Pros: great location to Sequoia Nat’l Park, beautiful location/view of the river, charming home! Cons: could use a good deep cleaning, needs septic system pumped as we had a septic smell in the basement area after showers/laundry, and did not appear to have smoke detectors (could see where they’d been but were missing).

It was a great place to stay for our family to go to Sequoia National Park due to our size and the number of bedrooms required. Great communication from the owner leading up to and during our stay. Wish it would’ve had one more bathroom and shower on the lower level.

The house fit our two families (9 total) comfortably. Amazing swimming hole just steps away, safely enjoyed by kids of various ages. The host was very responsive to any issues to arose.

Fun, quirky house in a great location. Pros...location! Well-stocked. Good communication with owner. Flexible floorplan for families. Cons...swimming hole is not at all private. House could use a deep cleaning and dusting. Bedding is not great. All in all a good property.

We had a large group of family stay for a few days. Loved the location and the house. It was very comfortable and enjoyable and well stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the balconies on the river, although the river was a little loud this time of year. Beautiful!

All was so clean and good except for the refrigerator, freezer works very well, but down part did not kept the milk cold enough. Thank you for your service
