The Ultimate In Relaxation At The Lake

We had a great weekend with friends at The Lake House! It is very convenient to the water, Bailey’s Point for a boat ramp, and the state park marina for boat rental. The house was clean and had the essentials for cooking and grilling. The bedrooms were well stocked as well. The outdoor patio/porch is a real highlight. Tom was easy to communicate with and made himself available. Altogether, we look forward to coming back in the future!

Loved the stay, Host was attentive to needs that arose up and that Houses was amazing!!!

He was quick to respond when we had a question and both homes where clean and ready on time.

Very spacious gathering areas both inside and out. Kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room all equipped with anything you need. Host is wonderful and responsive to any questions or concerns. Great fishing off the dock in the peaceful cove.

Check in was easy, the kitchen included all that was needed to feed a group of 24 people.

Our stay at the Lake House was amazing this year, but it is amazing every year we stay! Tom is a very responsive host and the house is stocked perfectly. The access to the lake from the house is an easy set of steps leading to a glorious cove that is calm and great for the use of kayaks included with the property. The house is set up for as many people you want to stay with you and is completely comfortable and clean. I want to talk about how great the house is, but we always end up either being on the water, or using the newly rebuild and remodeled deck. We love staying here and recommend the Lake House to anyone staying at Barren River Lake.

It was our 8th year vacationing there, and we love it. Perfect quiet location on a beautiful lake. Well equipped houses with plenty of room for a big family.

Beautiful location and the house is great for multiple family groups. We had so much fun fishing from the floating dock and using the lovely fire pit. The included kayaks were also a nice bonus. The owner was very responsive to questions.

It is obvious that Tom has set up a house as a base for his own family -- it was well-appointed that had nearly everything you could need, including items that many rentals do not have -- lots of serving bowls, plastic children's dishware, and a Keurig (not listed on the amenities). Because the lake was at record levels when we were there, the dock wasn't easily reachable. We really appreciated the extra kayaks that Tom had available for us. Our only issue was because we are a family of many 6 footers plus -- the bunk beds didn't work for our tall young ones. But we were able to pull the mattresses onto the floor and make them work for us. All in all, we found Tom's house to be a comfortable place to stay and hang out. We enjoyed the fire pit one night despite all the rain during our stay.

The house was clean and fully stocked with any items we needed from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The deck areas were great for hanging out outside. We loved that the dock was just a short walk down the stairs. Overall, a great place to stay for a weekend at the lake. We'll definitely book again.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this lake house. It was clean and provided us plenty of space. We especially enjoyed the large deck where we could eat our meals and be outside even when it was raining.The owner was super-responsive to any questions we had and resolved a problem for us overnight. It was great. Besides enjoying the lake, we also were close enough to both Mammoth Cave National Park and Bowling Green so while it's remote, restaurants and activities were very accessible.

This was an excellent place to stay! The lake house and the little lake house both were fitted with all you will need for your stay. Between the linens and the towels, the dish soap, the dishwasher detergent, and even the complementary s’mores on the table. everything was just what we needed. The host was very responsive to all questions. We would definitely stay here again! And I have even recommended this place to the wedding venue where my daughter got married. We gave the information to the wedding coordinator so that they can pass it on to other people who may have weddings at their venue. This gives families an opportunity to stay together and to socialize at an amazing place.

We had family coming together from 3 states with a boat and jet skis. Tom's place was ideal for this gathering of 19 people. We rented both houses which were side by side on a VERY quiet street. Beds were extremely comfortable. The decks (yes multiple decks) were phenomenal. Able to grill and eat outside. We appreciated the wood for the fire pit and got to have smores:))) The kyaks were used a lot and appreciated. Ping pong table and WiFi were terrific perks. REally appreciated Tom helping us twice when we needed to call for aid. The whole family THANKS Tom and his family for making this gathering absolutely perfect. God bless.

Love this house and the owners are amazing! If you’re an outdoor lover this is the place! Nature is abundant! Can’t wait for our next visit!

We as a family wanted to do something different this year instead of getting gifts for every single family member we decided on a local getaway.I found this property that was large enough for all of us to stay under one roof and to enjoy our holiday together as a family.Thank you for allowing us to stay with you. Needed a place where the whole growing family with Grandchildren could come from out of state and stay together. The place met and exceeded our needs.

We were in town for my son's wedding and the property offered exactly what we needed! Great space for walking, one of us even fished, relaxing back patio, and lots of space inside for sleeping in enjoying time together! Thanks for helping to make our trip to Kentucky so successful and enjoyable!
