Nestled on Green Lake's peninsula, The Summer Cabin boasts a private sandy beach, a dock, and an abundance of vintage charm! Enjoyed by families for years, this humble cabin boasts every creature comfort you can think of; a knotty pine interior, a wood-burning fireplace, hickory furniture, a private hot tub and sauna, and views that seem to go on forever.

Under the warm Michigan sunshine, enjoy utilizing the home's dock to launch the provided paddle boat or three kayaks. Enjoy watching the kids play on the sandy shoreline from the Adirondack chairs. Sway in the hammock with your vacation read. And gather around the outdoor table for a picnic.

Centrally located between Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, the opportunities for thrill-seeking adventure are abundant! Additionally, right across the peninsula is the Interlochen Arts Academy.

Inside, the cabin's woodsy theme makes the home feel inviting and cozy. All of the amenities you need in order to have a great vacation are present, including a well-equipped kitchen, internet access, all streaming services, an HDMI cord to stream from your computer, and soft quilts in each of the bedrooms. Please note that this property does not have A/C.

As the sun begins to set over the water, head for the enclosed porch where the home's west-facing location makes for idyllic sunset viewing.

Great up north cabin, we had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the water. Location was very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was a really nice bonus to enjoy and look out at the water. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing experience!

The house was nice but needs some updates. I think the floors could be updated and mopped. my grandsons hands and feet were dirty from crawling on the floor. We didn’t use the appliances so cannot speak on them. The windows in the back of the house are great for the view of the lake. The sand beach area was also a nice place to sit and have a bon fire for s’mores! It is very quiet and relaxing. The dock was disappointing because it is very small. The location is good for traveling to other areas like Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City. I spent a lot of money for 4 days not sure if there are other places that may be a little nicer for the same price but it was a good trip overall.

This is wonderful little cottage on a beautiful beach and lake. Perfect place for family time! It's rustic and small, but has lots of charm! This is the perfect balance between those who like camping and those who want comfort. You get the feel of camping with nice, basic living comforts. The hot tub was a wonderful perk!

We stayed here last summer for my sons graduation at Interlochen, soon as we entered the living room smelled of dog urine from the couch that was soaked. On complaining the next day the cleaning crew came by and soaked the couch in bleach that made the whole day unbreathable. Dreamy location, nice offer of kayaks to use, but property itself is very date, Jacuzzi never cleaned and upkeep in inadequate. IF you find a different house on the same street , would be a good location, between the two lakes. too Pricey for such an old cabin.

Had a nice time in a very quiet neighborhood. It was close to everything in the area and easy to find. The evening views are fantastic!

The house is cozy and comfortable and the location is wonderful, with a peaceful view. We enjoyed the sauna. The hot tub had chemical level issues, so we were unable to utilize it as much as we would have liked. I'm sure this would be an amazing rental in the summer!

We booked this property for a short family vacation. My hope was that I could do some work while my kids and family enjoyed the lake. The good: * The beach was wonderful, my kids had a great time playing in the water. * The weather was great. * The place had a reasonable kitchen and grill, so we were able to cook some family meals and enjoy time together. The bad: * During the whole stay the internet would not work. Despite restarting the router multiple times and trying to connect to my phone, I was not able to work at all during the trip. * The pipes in the house are definitely old and copper. You can smell it in the water when taking a shower and we had to double wash all our clothes to get the smell out. Unsure if it's safe to drink, but we ended up using bottled water during our stay. * The garbage was not emptied from the previous occupants and had a lot of flies and smelled quite bad. We had to move it away from the bedroom window in order to get some sleep. * My wife had a mold allergy which was aggravated during our stay in the cabin, and so she was unable to fully enjoy herself during the trip. Overall my kids had a good time, but I wasn't able to get any work done and my wife and extended family complained a lot. We ended up leaving a day early due to the problems, though my two boys were quite upset.

I was leery after a few of the reviews about cleanliness, but it was clean, had everything we needed, and has the most beautiful beach. If you grew up vacationing in an authentic northern Michigan cottage, this will take you back to those days. They thought of everything you might need: plenty of water toys, outdoor seating, a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, fans in each room, and even a dog bowl. We loved it!

The lake and beach were by far the best part but definitely not worth the price. The house was very outdated and the fees cost more than the 2 night stay.

Charming cabin, very well appointed and supplied. Should have been cleaner, dust bunnies everywhere and overall it needs a deep spring cleaning.
