Welcome to the “Lava Barn” the perfect gathering place for large families. Our home is located in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. The Lava Barn was originally the centerpiece of a dairy farm established in the 1940’s. While the barn itself has been totally remodeled, the charm of the dairy still remains. The property is located 5 minutes from downtown where you’ll find epic river tubing and the famous Lava Hot Springs.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025The door access code was not available until a call the property host. Then quick response in after 1500. The rest fo the three night stay was great for 7 adults and one toddler. Great space and Bathroom for every room. Each married couple (3) had private bath and shower and one single adult. This worked out great. Great open spaces to gather for Christmas Day. Only low point NO seasonal decorations for such a significant holiday week. My adult daughter saved the day with her 2ft christmas tree!

We loved the space we had to have our whole family together! Would recommend to everyone! Thanks for a great weekend!

Stayed Jul 25, 2024The home and property was fantastic. The only downfall to staying here for any length of time would be that the owner doesn’t allow access to the homes washing machine making it difficult to wash soiled kitchen, bath, and beach towels. However the home is located on a stunning piece of property only minutes from the pool and hot pots.

Stayed Oct 5, 2023This was a great place to relax and unwind. Close enough to do things in Lava but far enough away that you felt by yourself out in the country side.
