This placecwas clean, clean, clean. Mark was in constant communication, and he made sure i had all the necessary details unique to this mountain town location. Sunset from the front terrace was spectacular. Sunrise with the birds was peaceful. Very convenient location, yet very quiet and secluded at the same time. I highly recommend this location for a stay at Sequoia NP.

Wonderful view. Daily visit from covey of quail! Enjoyed morning coffee overlooking mountain view. Community kind and helpful. Host directions provided for check in were critical with loss of cell service. Exactly peaceful retreat we were looking for! Host thought of all our needs.

Everything was as sold. Nice place that felt homey, very nice views with lots of places to enjoy them from the property comfortably. charming little places nearby to eat. Host was great. I’d stay here again and again.

Perfect location from which to visit Sequoia.

This home is ideal for visiting the nearby parks. The views are breath-taking and the decks provide a comfortable place to sit and sip and marvel. We enjoyed the well-equipped and provisioned kitchen, the living area was ample and cozy and the bedrooms comfortable and large. Overall, we felt this home well-deserved its 5 star rating.

Amazing stay at a beautiful location! The view off the front and back porches were breathtaking. We drank our coffee out there in the morning and had our cocktails in the afternoon. Love that we were just a few miles away from the entrance of Sequoia. Correspondence with Mark was amazing. Would highly recommend.!!

The property was amazing! We had all the amenities we needed plus the views of the mountains were unforgettable. Mark was a terrific host. He promptly answered any questions we had. Also the info given pre-trip was helpful along with the info inside the home. Mark really thought of everything. The home was plenty comfortable for four adults and was impeccably clean. The snacks and wine left by Mark as a welcome gift were greatly appreciated. We all greatly enjoyed each of the many outdoor patios both front and back. We’ll never forget the beautiful sun and moonrises and sunsets! Gorgeous. The home was also close to restaurants and provisions. A memorable stay. I’d love to return some day.

We were greeted with a nice welcome gift which included a bottle of wine and various snacks. Views from the front and back yard sitting areas were beautiful. Great location for visiting the Sequoia National Park. The kitchen was well equipped and living areas comfortable. Only negative was the master bathroom needing a little TLC and some areas a bit more dusting.

We stayed here with some friends over a long weekend. The home is beautifully arranged with several comfortable areas, inside and out, to enjoy the lovely views of the surrounding mountains. Our host had everything prepared for our stay along with several treats which we all enjoyed. Communication was prompt and helpful. Would absolutely love to come and stay again 10/10

The Shady Knoll was the perfect place for my family of 4. It has everything you need, and the views are incredible. We felt right at home, my 2 little boys enjoyed seeing the wild turkey and quails visit. It's close to everything, Sequoia & Kingdñs Canyon National Parks, and the shops. I would definitely recommend!!

The Shady Knoll is a very comfortable home. We found everything we needed. It is very close and convenient to Sequoia National Park. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain views from the house in the daytime and looking at the starry skies at night. We highly recommend this place!

The view from this property in Three Rivers is absolutely beautiful all around property. Mark is very helpful and easy to communicate with. We visited Sequoia Nat’l Park and Kings Canyon. Enjoyed our trip!

This home in Three Rivers was perfect for our 2-night stay for Sequoia/Kings Canyon. The home is located just a few short miles from Sequoia NP. It was fully stocked for everything we needed plus some. A welcome basket with snacks and wine were waiting for us upon arrival. The beds and sheets were extremely comfortable, the house was spotless and the views in the multiple sitting areas outside were gorgeous. I spend a lot of time reviewing possible rentals on VRBO by reading comments and checking locations and I highly recommend this home. Tip – We left Yosemite for our 2-nights at SEQ/KC and our Maps app took us to KC first. We decided to head to the house around 6pm from KC, and didn’t realize that we were actually 1.5 hours away from Three Rivers. The drive that our Map app took us was a very winding, narrow road. We were very thankful that we didn’t make this drive at night! The better route would have been KC through SEQ National Park then Three Rivers. The road would have still been very windy in parts but a better road. Had we known this, we would have put “Three Rivers, CA” in our map app from Yosemite then visited both parks from SEQ. I should have asked the host, Mark, his thoughts on this route beforehand and I’m sure he would have directed us better. Mark was extremely responsive in several aspects – letting us know before our arrival of the fire (didn’t affect our trip) and when the house was ready for check in. This was one of our favorite VRBO rentals to date!

We enjoyed this place of respite close to the National Park. The views were stunning both during the day and at night. Mark was a wonderful host and we would gladly return if we were back in the area again! Highly recommend!

Shady Knoll was a great place to stay when visiting Sequoia NP. Sitting on the deck or the front yard provided us with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Spacious, updated, well-located in a cute small town just outside Sequoia National Park. Beautiful views from every room and the amazing outdoor patios. Very helpful management. Highly recommended!

Stayed at the cabin as part of a 3 week west coast trip with my family. The home was a great spot for us to relax after a day at Sequoia. Easy access to the park, and great communication with the owner. He provided good options on local spots to hit while we were there. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We had a great stay at The Shady Knoll. The house had everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable and good to come home to after a long day of hiking and sight seeing. It is really cool to look out the back window at Moro Rock and know we went to the top! Thanks for sharing your home with us.
