This seaside retreat is owned by The Purgason family since 1972, when first built. The home offers a large front porch accessed by sliders from the living area and both front bedrooms. The back porch is a shady morning spot perfect for coffee. To top it off, the Widows Walk (rooftop deck) offers surround views of the ocean, marsh and island community with seating for all to enjoy. Stayed Jul 19, 2025Absolutely LOVE the Sea Palm, and have already booked for next year. You will relax as soon as you arrive, the coastal vibe and comfortable decor is exactly what we love for our vacation on Sunset Beach! And short walk across the street to the beach access, plenty of parking. Roger is accessible and responsive, always communicates ahead of time everything we need to know. Arrival access is simple and easy, all I will say is book now!!

Stayed May 30, 2025The location was ideal for a fun and relaxing trip for a family. It was maybe a 3-4 minute walk to the beach, even with a toddler. That made it possible to go back and forth to the house easily for food/restroom breaks! There were so many games and toys to entertain us while we were taking a break from the beach. The fully stocked kitchen and grills made it convenient to have family meals at the house if our little ones were too rambunctious for a restaurant. There were multiple outdoor shower stations to rinse off after being at the beach, which helped limit the amount of sand that we brought home with us. This home made all the difference when it came to having a great trip to sunset beach, we can’t wait until next summer!
