Communication was excellent and very accommodating.

This place couldn't have been more perfect for our family vacation. Location, location, location! It was the most perfect location. Was even walking distance to my cousins' who was hosting our extended family reunion. And even though you are right next to the neighbors, it was exceptionally quiet as well.Cruz was a great host and was quite expeditious in answering our questions. Hoping it's available next year when we'll be back in town. Thanks Cruz - we loved your place.

Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately the winter storms that rolled through CA the week and weekend made driving to Ventura dangerous and unadvisable by Cal Trans due to flooding and road closures so we were unable to make the 7+ hour drive to Ventura. Besides missing out on our vacation the property management company was unwilling to give us any credit towards another weekend or even a portion of our payment back. That was their right based on Airbnb policy who didn't recognize the storm as abnormal but as a business I would have hoped for a little consideration. The property manager told me for a week he would call me without one actual attempt to do so. I will no longer be using Airbnb and will look for alternate rental avenues in Ventura than Sandy Shores Reality. Ratings below about the property are N/A since we didn't make it but were required in order to submit this review.

Quiet street with secluded patio entry in front, and driveway in back. Lots of space for multi-generational groups. We loved the balcony with ocean views! Cool October evenings were perfect to leave the windows open. TV was easy to use, kitchen was adequate, and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed several bike rides -- to the pier (north) and the harbor (south). Convenient to shopping, cool downtown Ventura, even Santa Barbara, Ojai and Hollywood (we visited them all). Folks, vacation rentals are homes that are lived in, and you can't take out a magnifying glass and expect perfection. A few minor maintenance issues (burned out bulb, icemaker not working) did not affect our stay at all. The neighbors come out to see the sun set every night. This was a good value -- I recommend it.
