The Sand Jewel: Oceanfront, Private Hot Tub, Pool Access

Would stay here again. House had everything we needed. Walkway to beach right next to house. Food lion very close as well. House was roomy for 3 different families to be together but have privacy.

An outstanding beach location, but there were too many problems with the house. We will not rent there again.

House was great but could have been better. Not enough towels and washcloths in bathrooms. No hand towels or scrub pads in kitchen. Ants all throughout the house. Elevator broke day one and had to have someone come fix it. A/C on top floor never got cooler than 76 degrees. No shades on the windows to keep out the heat. Had to have them put a window unit in master on top floor bc of the heat. Mini fridges were not cold at all. Location was great and beach was too. Just needs a little help with cleaning services and making sure everything works before next tenant.

Ant problem throughout the house. Top floor never got above 76 degrees and had to have a window unit put in bedroom. No blinds on windows so hose stayed hotter than necessary and very bright in the morning at 5-6am. Mini fridges didn’t keep anything cold. Main Fridge froze many of our items. Elevator broke and had to have someone come fix it. Not enough towels and washcloths for each bedroom. No towels or scrubby in the kitchen. Beach location was great!

Couldn’t have been happier with our stay! 9 of us stayed here to celebrate our collective 30th birthdays and it was just as described. Conveniently located next to the steps to the beach and the added ease of the elevator made getting everything in and out of the house a breeze

We were fishing the Cape Hatteras Anglers Club tournament, so this was our base. Good parking. Very clean. Excellent wifi. Plenty of kitchen utensils. Plenty of toilet paper, which has not been the case at houses managed by other rental companies. Maintenance very responsive to the two issues we experienced. Would recommend.

I hated the fact that we were told we could get into the house at 5pm when we actually were waiting until almost 7pm. I hated the fact that the property manager knew there was a problem with the freezer opening and they still took our money. I hated the fact that after multiple attempts to fix the freezer, we still had our food trapped in it more than once. I hated the fact that we had to have strangers in the house to fix it while we were trying to relax. I hated the fact that the hot tub jets didn't work very well. The location of the house was spectacular, but the shape it was in was tired. I would not recommend this house or Vacasa at all. I was told by the property manager that he would consider compensation, but of course heard nothing. You ruined my vacation!!!

The views from the top deck were spectacular, sunrise and coffee was awesome, beach is so close, nice hot tub.

The house is in a great location- right on the beach with beach access on side of house. Plenty of room for our family of 12. We brought a few of our own beach chairs and it was good that we did- also had to rent a couple because there were only 3 chairs and they were pretty rusty and flimsy. The bedrooms range in size, beds are a little hard, curtains do not block a whole lot of light but they do offer privacy- so if you need dark to sleep claim the twin bedroom on the first floor or bring a sleep mask. Plenty of toilet paper was provided, but only one towel per person, and one dish towel- we ended up going to dollar store to buy more kitchen towels. The cleaners were not finished for our 5:00 check in which was frustrating after our long drives we had to wait outside the home for an additional 1/2 hour. The grill was never cleaned and we ended up with a large grease fire- they did come and clean the grill afterwards but it was pretty scary. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with utensils, plenty of pots and pans of all sizes. Two coffee pots and a toaster. The home is starting to show some wear and tear and in need of a little TLC- the molding between kitchen and living room was coming up and we kept tripping on it- Vacasa came out and repaired it- there are some rungs on porches that are a little loose, lots of ripped screens, vents dirty This is a great home, in a great location- my family would love to spend more time here. There are more positives than negatives.

We enjoyed our yearly beach trip! This house is right on the beach with a public beach access on the property! The kitchen is fully stocked and we loved that toilet paper and paper towels and linens were provided! There were several mini fridges which were nice for extra drinks! Amazing views from all of the decks! We loved the gas grill! The grocery store was within walking distance and right next to Duck Donuts!
