The Rustic: A Comfy 5 bedroom home open to longterm stays

Owner was unresponsive. We booked this stay to be with family over Christmas and had to find alternative accommodation on the 23rd of December. 10/10 don’t recommend

Clean and comfortable place to stay. We stay for a short duration but it was very easy going the whole process. Decent location. No problems at all.

This is an older house, as the Rustic name implies, in and older neighbourhood. The house has character. It has been renovated but lacks good craftsmanship. You know, slap it together and make it work. I have done renovation work myself and know it is not easy but if you know what you are doing and take your time you can make a house a home. There is only 1 double bed and it's on the main floor. The other bedrooms (smal in size) are upstairs and all have single beds that are not that comfortable for adults. There is a window air conditioner in the dining area. I'm just glad the temperature was not to hot when we were there or we would have baked sleeping upstairs. Linen was supplied with just enough bath towels for the 4 of us. There was only 1 hand towel in the whole house and no face cloths avaiable. I had texted the host about additional linen but got no reply. I suggest bringing aditional towels and face clothes for yourselves. I had received information from the host to delay our 3:00pm check-in as the unit was not ready. It was not a problem for us but could have been. Overall the stay was just OK. I have stayed in other VRBOs and found them to be excellent, so I am comparing this unit to what I have seen before. Would I stay there again, no!

We had a good time house was exactly as advertised nice,clean and close to everything you need for the stay. Owner was nice.

This property is ideally located within an easy walk to downtown. Close proximity to WLU - Brantford. For a couple, there really is no need to use the second floor, though there is a lovely reading space there. Air conditioning on the main floor.

Five of us stayed for three nights at this home, which we chose because it offered 5 bedrooms. Unfortunately, all four of the upstairs bedrooms had the most uncomfortable beds I've ever encountered at a short term rental. The beds themselves were basically twin-sized metal cots with no box springs and thin older mattresses. The beds squeeked with every movement and most of us slept poorly all three nights. Additionally, there was no hair dryer provided in the house and only one bath towel provided for each of us - no hand towels or wash cloths. We found it a challenging place to stay. When the home was described as rustic', we had no idea it meant we would be back at Girl Scout Camp.

The house was well equipped with everything we needed (with the exception of wine glasses lol) I would suggest more comfortable seating in the living room, there was only room for 3 of us to sit, the other 2 had to sit on kitchen chairs as there were 5 of us Overall a good experience

We would definitely stay here again
