The Purple Place

The accommodation was fine, quiet, well positioned, clean, rustic and we enjoyed our stay. Luckily had read previous comments and brought toilet paper, tea towels, Chux towels for wiping down benches an bathroom.

Beautiful home for our mini break with family. Will definitely be going back. Very cosy, well stocked with crockery and utensils. Great communication with caretaker and owner. Beds were comfortable.

Absolutely fabulous, lovely beach cottage in a quaint seaside village. You can spend hours sitting up on the dunes overlooking the ocean. We can’t wait to return

MEHH 4/10 I did raise some of these issues directly with the owners but they chose not to respond, so I have no alternative but to leave my comments here. The shack is shabby and tired especially externally. Too many unwelcoming rules in the house book along with preemptive excuses about any shortcomings. The description of the shack is over baked leading to higher expectations. The place was clean. However, there was mould on bedroom blinds. BBQ dirty, rusty and oily, filthy dirty drip trays and the seating area tatty and tired. The grass was too long so previous guests had not found all their dog poo. Smoke detector not operating was just left on top of the fridge. The TV has streaming channels loaded but you can't watch as the Wi-Fi is hopeless. Footnote here:- I am being picky because it isn't cheap with all the adds ons, for a 3 night stay . There is an add on cleaning fee but you are asked to clean the floors yourself! You can do much better in this beautiful beachside town.

The Purple Place is a lovely little beach house, nicely decorated and with everything you could possibly need (and more) for a fabulous holiday. Many hours were whiled away watching the ocean from the dune - whales, dolphins, surfers, boats, cool clouds. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a washing machine and dryer, books, board games, and jigsaws for rainy days, you name it. And as an extra bonus it's pet friendly with a fully fenced yard so our dog gets to have the time of her life as well! It is also close to the bowls club and cafe, and not too far from the pub and shop if you need to restock. We have stayed multiple times and will be back!

The Purple Place was exactly what we were wanting. A quiet few days away with the fam in a beach cottage. Short walk to the Bowlo & little Cafe. Perfect spot for a morning coffee out the back sitting at the table looking over the beach or an arvo wine & cheese platter. Perfect yard for the dogs to run around. Beds were comfy and linen in excellent clean condition. A few things that need addressing but didn't really affect our stay.. The BBQ needs replacing as it is full of rust, the oven/stove is gas and a little temperamental and the microwave makes an extremely loud squeaking noise when you first start it.These things happen but I feel it was worth mentioning.Loved our stay here!

Loved the purple place especially the table setting in the dunes overlooking the ocean.

This was a great house to base ourselves for a diving trip with the boys.

Had a few hiccups the first day but eventually got everything sorted. Fiona and Broc have done an awesome job with the funky 50's styling. Beds were comfortable, amazing bench space in the kitchen and just about everything you could ever need for a cook up.

We found the cottage very clean and central to all our needs while in Wooli. Our time at the cottage was very enjoyable and relaxing, the table on the sand dune looking out to the ocean was lovely.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Purple Place in Wooli. It was close to local shops and the main beach with lifesaver flags. The top table at the back of the property was fabulous to relax. The property was as advertised, comfortable, clean and easy to keep clean during the stay. We were happily surprised by some basics being in the property when we arrived (e.g. dishwashing liquid & laundry powder). The owner replied very quickly whenever we messaged them. We really hope we can come back and stay again!

Great location, backing onto the beach on the other side of the dune and the estuary a short walk in the opposite direction. Plenty of room for parking/boats. It is only a 2 BR though - looks like the third was converted into an extended bathroom. Well stocked kitchen, and the aircon was a boon on those hot humid afternoons

Great ! Very happy would definitely stay again . Was such a plus we could bring our dog, felt just like home, they even had some sweet Christmas decorations . The house had everything we could need and more. Clean and tidy only negative was lots of creepy crawlies although to be expected, definitely pack bug spray . We will be back :)

Comfortable, homely, complete with everything you need for a simple, relaxing, peaceful beach getaway. We loved the fenced garden, the beach access and dune lookout. We loved walking to the café and the friendliness of the locals. Sunrise and sunset. Happy dogs. Tranquility. Thank you!
