The backyard is the whole reason you book. A resort-style pool sits at the center, glowing blue and green after dark, lined with chaise lounges and umbrellas for staking your claim. String lights and a pergola turn every evening into an occasion.

WHERE YOU'LL SLEEP

Five bedrooms split the difference between fun and calm. A few lean all the way into the theme, ship-deck bunk rooms with portholes and rope rigging, a captain's cabin under sail-mast beams, the kind of rooms kids beg to sleep in. The rest are serene coastal retreats in soft blues and whites, some with desks for anyone sneaking in a little work. Three full bathrooms plus a powder room keep big groups moving.

The long, open kitchen was made for groups who cook together, full appliances, generous counters, and a coffee station for easing into slow mornings. The dining table seats the whole crew just off the kitchen, so no one's ever left out of the conversation.

THE LOCATION

The Privateer sits in a quiet boating community on Tampa's west side with a tucked-away, easygoing feel. You're roughly 10 minutes from Tampa International Airport, a short hop to the Courtney Campbell Causeway and Ben T. Davis Beach, and about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Tampa, Raymond James Stadium, and the Riverwalk. Busch Gardens and the Gulf beaches are an easy drive.
