Our family of four had an absolutely perfect stay. Renee is truly a first class host!! She thought of everything. The location is a 1 minute walk from the center of town (park, restaurants, and shopping). She even had a little basket of art supplies for our two sons to use...they loved it! Thank you, Renee, and we cannot wait to visit again!
The Postcard Cottage was absolutely charming! Great decor. Spotless. We had a very comfy stay. The host was extremely helpful in giving recommendations for things to do in the area and made us feel right at home. Would love to return with our daughter when we have more time to explore the area. Thanks for a great stay!
We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Postcard Cottage. It’s beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The location was excellent, as we could walk to restaurants, shops and the galleries in downtown Douglas. Renee was an excellent host.
We’re experienced VRBO travelers and Renee’s Postcard Cottage is easily the best property we’ve ever rented. It’s perfect down to the last detail. Renee was accessible and helpful throughout. It all added up to a wonderfully relaxing getaway!
Spotless, great location, beautifully decorated and it was so comfortable, it felt like being at home. Renee is an amazing host. We will be back!
Our stay at Postcard Cottage was amazing! Renee is an excellent host, house was immaculate. There is nothing that Renee didn’t think of, a bottle of wine in the fridge to toothbrushes in a drawer in case you forgot your. Enjoyed the bikes that were available, as well as the short walk to town. Would definitely come back again! Thank you Renee for the great accommodations.
Every room was wonderfully decorated with high end furnishings. Marble countertops in the kitchen and marble flooring in the bathroom. Kitchen and bathroom was furnished with all the items to make our stay perfect. We especially enjoyed the screened in back porch.
Beautiful cottage a block from the main street but quiet and lovely. Screened in porch provided a tranquil spot for reading. Art on every wall, and every possible amenity in the kitchen.Comfortable, even with a third person for one night. Delightful hosts as well. Immediate response to minor issues & great recommendations on restaurants. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This cottage is spotless and the attention to detail makes for a comfortable stay. Renee has everything stocked and ready for use. Her communication was timely and she offered awesome recommendations that made the trip memorable. We would definitely stay here again!
The Postcard Cottage is a lovely getaway on a quiet street, within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants and the park in downtown Douglas. The host is generous and thoughtful - all sorts of amenities are available for a very comfortable stay. Our children enjoyed the games and toys that were available, including colored pencils and drawing paper for some creative time. We spent a lot of time enjoying the screened-in porch in back and the Adirondack chairs on the front porch. High end appliances and finishes surround you in this picture-perfect Postcard Cottage!
We loved the cottage! It was exactly how it was described. The owner had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. She was always available to ask questions about the area and recommend places to go.
The property was great, within walking distance to downtown Douglas, very Zen like screen in back porch. Loved it.
This cottage is a little jewel. From the sparkling clean windows to all the accoutrements for our comfort, it is perfection.
This was our first time ever renting a VRBO property. Typically my wife has been very much against doing one but this one fit everything we were looking for. We were doing a couple's weekend with some close friends who live a few States away. So we were looking for a house experience instead of a hotel so we can have breakfast and nights together hanging around instead of having it be in a public space. This place had a dining area with table a living room with cottages and chairs and a screened in gazebo. Meaning with three wonderful places to have different experiences throughout the day and weekend. We actually did not even realize how great of a location the house was and were able to walk to Main Street in Douglas and grab coffee in the morning within a 2 minute walk and walk to the water in the marina for a sunrise. Renee the owner was beyond thoughtful and you could tell she put a lot of time and energy and care into making the experience just right. There were far more things in the house readily available for us, like snacks coffee tea she even left some water and yogurts in the fridge for us. The property was spot on clean and extremely well decorated and just felt exactly what we were looking for and Beyond. It Each room is certainly not large, but and the only drawback was the one bathroom in the main bedroom, but we knew that going into it and were totally fine with it and ended up not being a problem for us. I would definitely go back and tell friends about it.
Renee was an amazing host. The towels, bedding, robes and all amenities were luxury. The house was immaculate and literally 2 min distance from downtown Douglas and 5 min drive to everything. Best stay weve had so far and highly recommend!!
My daughter and I wanted a place to relax for a few days and the cottage was just perfect for that! It is cozy and comfortable and Renee has it well stocked with everything you could need. We particularly enjoyed reading in the screened-in porch. The location is perfect. You can walk to dinner in Douglas and it's a short drive to Saugatuck, Fennville and Holland. Thank you, Renee!
My wife, son (almost 2) and I had an amazing stay at the Postcard Cottage. Before our stay, Renee reached out to provide a number of helpful suggestions, ask about any needs for our toddler and even accommodated an early check-in so we could stay on his nap schedule. The home and town were perfect. The cottage was in mint condition - we especially enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fire pit and in the screened in porch. Couldn't recommend this home more for two couples or a family of four!
Renee, the host was so helpful and accommodating. The Postcard Cottage did not disappoint! The Cottage was immaculately clean and decorated as if the owner was a professional. Renee was kind enough to stock the Cottage with anything that we may have needed during our trip. Very tastefully decorated also. We loved the Cottage and had a wonderful time. The neighborhood was great and we always felt very safe when we ventured out. Renee was always quick to respond if we had any questions. I highly recommend you book the Postcard Cottage if your visiting the area soon....I know we will if we ever return to Michigan. FYI, during the week, the restaurants close early, so either prepare for cooking your own supper or eat before you check in. But if you decide to cook (which we did not), Renee has made sure you have everything you could possibly need to prepare your meals. Thanks Renee for being such a Wonderful Host!
