Burlington, New Jersey
This historic twin farmhouse was built in 1889 and is located in the historic Yorkshire neighborhood of Burlington, New Jersey. Burlington was a well-established river crossing before English Quakers landed here in 1677. Aren't Schuyler, an early Dutch settler, operated a tavern and rope ferry to convey wagons and passengers between Burlington and Bristol, Pennsylvania. The English colonial government chartered an official ferry between the two towns in 1713.

Its only two blocks from the River Line Light Rail, where you can also take an economical and convenient trip to Philadelphia, New York City, Trenton or Camden County. Drivers can take a trip to Philadelphia only 18 miles away, birth place of our nation and home to the Liberty Bell, the Declaration of Independence, and the famous Philly cheese steaks.
We live on the premises, so we would be happy to provide our guests with local tips on restaurants, country markets and cafes, as well as recommendations for shopping and sightseeing. Otherwise, you will not be disturbed.
COVID-19
We take extra precautions to make sure our guest are safe.
We clean, then sanitize. Using detergent or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once the surface is clean, we spray all surfaces with a disinfectant after each guest departs. We don't use paper towels or disposable wipes, instead we use a new cleaning cloth for each guest.
Better than local hotels. Very clean, SUPER nice owners!
It was very charming and clean. The room we stayed in was not air conditioned and there could have been more lights near the stairways. Bathroom shower did not have safety rail bars to hold getting in and out of tub
The property owners were extremely courteous, but could improve on getting a better parking spot.
The property is well-maintained, cozy and on the whole I really enjoyed it. Some amenities were missing, particularly in the bathroom - no hand towel, lack of toiletries, no place to put bathing necessities, no hairdryer. These things are easily fixed. A bigger concern is inability to lock individual rooms. I also recommend proving bottled water in the rooms and having coffee available in the morning.
Host was nice and communicated well.
Claudia and Ren are wonderful hosts. Waking into this absolutely beautiful home was a nice surprise. Located in a row of historic homes on a quaint side street, within walking distance to the Delaware river in Burlington, NJ. Claudia was very available before my stay, and greeted me into their gorgeous restored home when I arrived. My room was located on second floor, where there was a seating area, high ceilings, leather couches and big TV, an old fabulous bathroom , and a very cozy peaceful bedroom. In the morning I was prepared to walk downstairs to get coffee, but was so happy that Claudia had brought me some fresh pressed coffee, on an old grate with a candle keeping my morning coffee hot, alongside heavy cream and raw Sugar. Highly recommended! I hope to be back soon! Thank you ✨
We were looking for adult overnight get away and the property not only exceeded our expectations, but the property was clean! Property owners were kind, courteous, quick to get back to us and amazing!! We will definitely be repeat customers!!
Spent the night and had a wonderful time. Both hosts were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely visit again.
This was a great renting property, I loved the host and the our place we spent our time in.
Very gracious hosts - very open, friendly, inviting and welcome atmosphere. I would have preferred to have a kitchen nook in the upstairs area we stayed rather than having to go downstairs to use the house coffee maker and fridge. A coffee maker, fridge and microwave upstairs would have simply been more convenient. It's a beautiful home and great area - near the river and quaint downtown. Near Philadelphia, Hershey Factory and Amish country. Lovely stay!
This was the perfect location to visit family in Burlington. Great local places, great places in Philly and easy train for some shopping and museums in NYC. I would stay again: recommend this VRBO.
Very cute place and owner is super friendly.
I traveled to visit Philly, but wanted an out-of-the-way spot. This is located across the bridge in NJ in a friendly neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance and I enjoyed the coffee shop a block away. Claudia and Ran are wonderful hosts with a beautiful home. I plan to stay here again next time I’m in the area.
