The Perfect Birmingham Get Away

Great house and location.

Great house, great stay, with plenty of space for our seven people. Best stocked kitchen (pots, pans, appliances, silverware, plates, etc.) I’ve seen in a rental. Everything clean. Location convenient to plenty of the shopping and eating areas.

We live in Birmingham and had some work going on at our house which required we locate for a few day. We selected this rental and were very pleased. The neighborhood is hilly, but invites one to take a walk. The kitchen had a first rate selection of cookware, appliances, etc. The owner obviously has a nice sense of decor and style. All in all, the rental turned our inconvenience into a pleasant experience.

Very nice house. Rooms are spacious with lots of natural lighting. The host is pleasant and easy to work with. Kitchen is amazing and well appointed. In general the space is lovely, but it could use some TLC.

The stay was very accommodating for a large group.

House is nicer than the photos even show, and the neighborhood is very quiet and very safe. Definitely in a good area, and about 8 minutes east of Sloss.

This place was beautiful and in a wonderful, convenient neighborhood. The check-in process was confusing because the owner said “contact me on my cell phone one to two days before your stay.” I texted them the day before, but never heard back, I messaged again through the VRBO app, and the owner said “I don’t do things that way. Read the instructions.” He should make it clear that he wants to be called, not texted. For a place this nice, it seemed weird that he would only provide two rolls of toilet paper and no shower soap. When I finally got to talk to him, I was on the way there. He said “bring your own beauty products, it’s not a hotel”, so it was too late to buy soap (I don’t really consider soap a “beauty product.)” The owner rude again when I called him when the alarm went off after a brief power outage, telling me to hit buttons on the panel that didn’t exist. It should be noted that one of the five bedrooms is only accessible by walking through the master bedroom. Otherwise, the place was nice and clean.

The house was perfect for our needs, from location to the house design. Check in was different from any other house I’ve rented on VRBO, requiring a phone call with the owner, instead of communication through email or text. It was a challenging dynamic to receive important information (like the lockbox code and specific house instructions) verbally. It felt like it would have been less stressful on both parties if communication was more automated.

What a great time our family had at this beautiful property – Walton is a great host, and make sure that check in and check out is super easy. Convenient location, well stocked and lovely appointments.

This place feels like a HOME, not just another nice rental. Elegantly appointed and ideal location. My family enjoyed it so!

The property was conveniently located to other areas in Birmingham. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed and the bedrooms were spaced perfectly to accomodate different age groups.

I love everything this property has to offer. The neighborhood is nice and the house is everything you could ask for. Will book again when needed.

All as expected

Our group really enjoyed this place for the long weekend. Everyone commented on how nice the house was and there was room enough for 9 grown men on a boys trip. Walton was very friendly when discussing the check-in and check-out process. Solid experience.

We came in for my brother's wedding and this house was perfect for our stay! There were 9 of us and there was plenty of room. The bathrooms were just enough to help us get ready. The basement was roomy. The owner is very particular, but rightfully so. I've rented out rv's before and people can be rough and tough to deal with. Call him the day before you arrive and follow his instructions and you will have a good stay. Did not have one issue whatsoever.
