The home is very quaint and right on the beach, which makes it a great place to come with family and friends!

Loved the house and location

This may be the first negative review I’ve ever left on Vrbo. This unit was listed as one of the most expensive in pirates Beach on the weekend that we visited. I’m very familiar with the area and understand what to expect. This simply did not meet expectations. I tried contacting the owner several times after our stay and never received response. The home was not well stocked. There is very little in the kitchen as far as silverware, plates, glasses, soap etc. The flooring inside was seriously buckling in numerous spots. It looks like it had just been put down, but we had serious concerns about the integrity of the floor. It was a hazard. There also appeared to be recent water damage in numerous spots as well. They advertise there being items for the beach in the garage. It looked like it had just flooded and there was sand and water logged items piled up everywhere. My guess is they haven’t cleaned it up since the hurricane. Downstairs sitting area had very old and broken tables. The grill was no more than a tin can with water in it. The outside had lights hanging off the deck, loose, in numerous spots. I could go on, but essentially the home is just not in a great shape to rent, particularly for the price. They did mention the construction issues next-door in the ad. However, I was not expecting it to be a severely hurricane damage structure that looked to be about to fall down. I understand they can’t help that, but should price this listing accordingly.

We had a great weekend at the Pelican's Nest!! The location is amazing, great view of the gulf and access to the beach. We had a large group and there was plenty of space to accommodate everyone. There was miscommunication from VRBO/property owner and we didn't get access instructions ahead of time which caused some anxiety for our group at check in. However, the VRBO people acted swiftly, and the property owner, once she was aware was apologetic and very helpful and responsive afterwards. We would definitely stay here again!!!

We spent a few days with my kids and my parents, it was wonderful. The view is so beautiful…mesmerizing to look as the sea, listen to the waves. The house is very comfortable, big enough for a large family, everything was just perfect! My parents loved it, my husband loved it, my kids loved it…. Very grateful for the beautiful family time in this paradise.

Steps away from the beach. Very clean. We will stay here again.

We had a great time at the beach. Plenty of room for all of our family. Nice balcony with a beautiful view. Well stocked with beach towels.

Great property, great location, clean, comfortable. I would definitely book this house again.

Even the nicest of beach houses are frequently run-down and grimy and we were happy to find this one sparkling clean and as-described. We'd definitely stay here again.
