The Parsonage: Bar Harbor Village close to Hiking with Updated Comfort and Style

The home was in an ideal location. Close to the Farmer's market, dowtown and churches. The home was tastefully decorated with personal touches throughout. This was truly a home away from home. The kitchen was stocked and very clean! The owner responded quickly when contacted. We already booked for 2026.

The perfect home just a few minutes walk to downtown Bar Harbor! This was especially helpful. Quiet neighborhood, plenty of space for our family of 6. Rooms were spacious with all the charm of an older home. We only used the kitchen for breakfast a couple of days, but it had everything I needed for those meals. Just a short drive and we were in Acadia National Park enjoying the fall foliage. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely love staying at the Parsonage!! This is our third year renting this property. The location is perfect, close to the busses at the village green and also close to the downtown area. The home is very comfortable and with three floors it offers privacy too. The home is well stocked and very clean. We also appreciated the children’s toys for our granddaughter. Would definitely rent here again!!!

Check-in was super easy. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, cooking utensils, a full size coffee pot, dishes, and everything we needed. We especially appreciated the attention to details that the host showed: there were reusable shopping bags, beach chairs, a good selection of games and toys and books for children. The arrangement of the rooms was convenient for our family, as my daughter and her two children had their private space on the third floor and my husband and I (grandparents) could retreat into our second floor bedroom and sitting room. There was also another bedroom for a nanny. We loved the configuration of the rooms. There is also a playground within a short walk. In addition, everything was walkable—to the village green to catch a shuttle to Acadia, to the sand bar walk, shore walk, and Bar Harbor restaurants and shops.

Family visit to the island. We come yearly and like staying in this area to avoid trying to park in BH. Perfect house for us. Wishes would be more backyard and 2 showers but very doable for 1 teen and 4 adults.

This was a comfortable and pretty house, a great place to stay for our vacation. Great location for visitors. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time in Bar Harbor, staying at the Parsonage. The house was beautiful with everything we needed. Location was close to everything downtown and perfect for exploring Acadia and MDI. We would love to come back and stay here again!

We had an amazing time staying at The Parsonage for our family vacation visiting Bar Harbor. Perfect location with a 5-10 minute walk to town. House is beautiful and fully equipped with everything needed. The caretaker was very accessible and so easy to communicate with. It’s the little things that make for a wonderful vacation and staying here was certainly the best. Would love to stay again if in this area in the future.

This is our third year staying at the Parsonage and we love it. Very roomy and comfortable, and the location is easy walking distance to downtown. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed! We will be back next year!!

Clean and spacious property in the heart of Bar Harbor. Walking distance to everything in town. 2 families (4 adults, 3 kids - 6, 12, 14) were cozy. 1 bath with shower; other bath has jacuzzi tub but no shower. Kitchen well stocked with appliances and gadgets. 2 SUV’s were snug in driveway. Could’ve fit either car in garage. Driveway is shared with neighboring property - was not an issue. Overall great stay. We would book again.
