The Ottawa Escape! King Bed. Pet Friendly! Close to downtown.

There was alot of garbage and wrappers beneath the beds and by the nightstands, all the towels had the last customers hair all over it so we had to buy our own personal towels. While cooking food, NO smoke or burning, and the smoke alarm wouldnt stop going off 10 times. all we made was pizza and it made people wake up earlier. electric Lock died and i didnt get a response for 4 hours. Would not rebook at this specific property

Everything was as expected. clean and comfortable. communication was good as well. Only thing to be aware of incase you are bringing a pup is that the yard is not completely fenced. Good stay overall.

We bounced between Ottawa and Utica, visiting the towns and state parks so it was a good location for us. The home was comfortable and looked exactly like the listing. Happy that we were able to bring our pup along!

This property was very comfortable. Both the beds and the couch made it easy to sleep, relax and enjoy our stay.

The house was great and centrally located. Went kayaking, hiking and enjoyed great food and drinks in the quaint downtown area.

We have stayed here previously and thought it was very clean and neat but it seems a little run down from the last time we stayed. The front porch felt like it was going to collapse, the coffee table in the living room looked like it was about to fall apart and not sure what happened to the water pressure in the shower. Love the cottage though!

Thank you so much for the excellent place to stay! It was very clean and had everything we needed. Just as described in listing. We enjoyed the state park areas, restaurants, and local shops and activities including the farmers market and music concert in Washington Park.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was very clean and well appointed with essentials. I am always concerned about the mattress due to some bad experiences, but I am happy to say, the bed was great! Quiet area, but short ride to all the parks. We would definitely book again!

My wife and our dog stayed for three nights, great location, super comfortable and cozy, close to everything in downtown Ottawa and just a short drive from Starved Rock and the trails. having the laundry and kitchen were a huge plus, great place to relax after hiking. the hosts were very helpful and accommodating, highly recommended for anyone visiting Starved Rock.

The owners were fantastic throughout the entire process and very helpful and communicative. The home is in a perfect area to visit all the local state parks. It was very clean and perfect for the 2 of us.

The house was exactly as describe. Has a nice living room/dining area. There was a great welcome basket with keurig coffee, cream and oatmeal. It was a great retreat after our hikes at the state parks. The town of Ottawa was also really enjoyable. We were grateful to be able to bring our two small dogs.

Such a nice alternative to a hotel when we came to visit family and friends in the area. Enjoyed our stay and might be back someday.

We were waiting on closing on our new house and this place was just what we needed! Calm, quiet and safe. Everything was clean as a whistle. They have a vacuum and broom which a lot of places don't and I get why but if we're there for a long time we need to clean up after ourselves. That was a big plus for me! Laundry room was the best and everything is so close! They even have cute little markets to shop at in town. We will definitely book again when we visit! leaveabrovacuum

In town for a wedding & had the perfect stay! The house was cozy, cute, and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, living room was just right for movies and games, and the kitchen & coffee served us well. We will be back!

This was our second visit to this property, and it's really perfect for our family! Walking distance to basketball court for my teen boys, a short drive to downtown for dinner, and close enough to state parks for hiking. I love that the kitchen has what we need to cook simple meals, and the Keurig coffee supply is greatly appreciated! Oh, and when it rained, we played board games supplied by the owners and found a small bowling alley downtown. All in all, a great getaway!

We were in town for a family reunion and booked a stay here. It was very clean like other reviews said (and I’m very picky). The beds were comfortable, spacious living room, and loved being able to bring our small dog. It also seemed to be a quiet and safe neighborhood. Pictures and description were also very accurate. My husband joined me along with his grandmother and his mother so there were 3 women. Being women we noticed the place lacked mirrors. The only mirror was in the bathroom. We knew there was only 1 bathroom when booking and that was fine but a mirror in both bedrooms would be helpful for 1 to check their appearance and do their hair or makeup while others were in the bathroom. We also cooked a few items in the kitchen and had everything we needed other than a large mixing bowl. That might be something to add to the kitchen. Thanks for a nice, clean, and quiet stay! If we visit Ottawa again we would love to stay again.

Very clean and affordable accomidations with all the supplies to have a care free stay.

The home is as it appears in the pictures. It was clean, the kitchen had enough supplies for what my needs were. Additional items like laundry soap, garbage bags, paper towels etc were provided (I have been in some rentals that do not provide). With two small children, I appreciated the plastic plates and utensils for them. Matt was in communication with me through out the stay. We enjoyed our stay.
