The Neighborhood:

We’re proud to offer one of the only private stays near the Riverwalk that includes both a hot tub and a temperature-controlled cowboy pool — and none of it is shared. That said, please read carefully before booking.

This home is located in a gentrifying, inner-city neighborhood — not an upscale area. You’ll see a mix of beautifully remodeled homes and others that are still in transition. Expect some construction, city noise, occasional strays, and streets nearby that may be uneven or have overgrown properties. It’s very urban and evolving, and that comes with character — and a few quirks.

The interior is clean, stylish, and well-appointed — but please don’t book expecting a luxury neighborhood. You’re paying for proximity to the action, free parking (3 spots!), and a private retreat with great amenities — not a polished suburb.

We recommend rideshare for downtown trips (about 7 minutes to the Riverwalk). The home itself is a clean, stylish retreat with 3 free parking spots, modern amenities, and a fully fenced backyard.

We just ask that guests be realistic about the setting and read our reviews. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out before booking. Transparency matters to us, and we want you to feel informed and excited — not surprised.

Getting Around:

We are close to the downtown main attractions minus the expensive parking! We recommend taking Uber/Lyft if you plan on going mostly to downtown attractions. If you plan on going to Six Flags, Sea World, or The Natural Bridge Caverns, renting a car is your best bet.

★★ ACTIVITIES/ATTRACTIONS ★★

It may be tempting to spend all your time at home, but some of San Antonio’s most popular attractions are just a short drive from your front door. Whether you’re in town on a girl’s getaway, a family vacation, or an extended stay, there is plenty to keep you entertained in the nearby area. We are close to attractions! Here are a few of the best options close to home:

✔ The Alamo: Located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, The Alamo is a historic mission and a must-visit landmark. It offers insight into Texas history and the Battle of the Alamo. Surrounding the Alamo, you'll find plenty of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options.

✔ River Walk: The San Antonio River Walk is a scenic network of walkways along the San Antonio River, lined with shops, restaurants, and beautiful scenery. You can take a leisurely stroll, go for a boat ride, or enjoy a meal with your girlfriends or family members at one of the many riverside eateries.

✔ San Antonio Missions National Historical Park: This park includes several well-preserved Spanish colonial missions, such as Mission San José, Mission Concepción, and Mission San Juan. It offers educational opportunities to learn about the history and culture of the area. I recommend doing an e-bike tour of all the missions!

✔ San Antonio Zoo: The San Antonio Zoo is a family-friendly attraction with a wide variety of animals from around the world. It's a great place for families and groups to spend a fun day observing wildlife and participating in interactive exhibits.

✔ San Antonio Botanical Garden: The botanical garden showcases a stunning collection of plants from different regions, beautifully landscaped gardens, and educational exhibits. It's an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

✔ The Tower of Americas- a perfect romantic date night! Watch the sunset from 750 ft above with the most spectacular view of the Alamo City. Enjoy the gorgeous panorama from the Tower's revolving Chart House Restaurant, take in the scenery from the Observation Deck or experience the thrilling 4D Theater Ride.

All these activities and more are within your reach when you book with us!

Other Things to Note:

✹ Easy self-check-in is available via the keypad on the front door - a personalized code will be sent to you 24 hours prior to check-in. We do not provide this personalized code to guests prior to 24 hours to respect the privacy of any guests that are staying before you. Note that this personalized code will expire at 11am on your check out day.

✹ Don’t worry about doing any chores before you leave. We charge exactly what our cleaners charge and also don’t make our guests do ANY chores. We pride ourselves in providing one of the cleanest accommodations you will ever stay in. We have hired the best and most highly reviewed cleaners in the area to ensure the space is immaculate. They charge us to turn over a place that potentially has four sets of linens to wash and dry, a hot tub to clean and maintain, a pool to clean and maintain, a full-sized kitchen and two dining areas to scrub down, and two bathrooms to make spotless from top to bottom. Our cleaners wipe down and sanitize all surfaces and stick to the strictest Covid cleaning protocols. Short-term rental cleaners also do so much more than regular home cleaners, including taking inventory of anything missing or broken and making sure everything in the home is running properly. Alot of effort goes into keeping the space immaculate and functioning optimally from one guest to the next. This is one area we will not budge on in terms of providing superior quality and service, so we chose the best cleaners in the area.

✹ We provide a starter kit of paper products but guests who plan on staying longer than 2-3 days will most likely need to supply their own once the starter kit runs out.

✹ Please bring your own firewood for the fire pit. There are several areas nearby that have firewood for sale- info in welcome email messages.

Interaction with Guests:

I won’t physically be available to help, but I’m available 24/7 to help you with any questions or concerns you have. I have a great local team to come to your aid if you have any issues at the property. As you can verify from my reviews, I try my best to be a very helpful, attentive, and responsive host. Your comfort is my top priority. If anything should come up during your stay, I will do everything in my power to make sure any and all questions, issues, or concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

Me and a group of friends stayed here for the final 4 game and we could not be more happy with our experience. The location worked great as we were a 20 minute walk from the Alamodome. Although I do recommend ubering home when it is dark, it is still such a short drive where it did not matter in the slightest. The home was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. The host was extremely helpful and responded almost immediately whenever we needed something. One thing that I noticed was that the bedding was extremely comfortable, much better than any hotel I’ve stayed in. The cowboy pool was a great time with my friends in that Texas heat. I think that overall this place is a no-brainer if you want to stay near the stadium and other attractions. The river walk is a short uber away as well (or walk for us young guys).

Even though our stay was very brief, it was great! My oldest son and I were in San Antonio for the State UIL Marching Band contest at the Alamodome that my youngest son was participating in. The property was wonderfully close to the Alamodome which saved us a TON in parking fees that I would’ve had to pay for a hotel on the Riverwalk! It was exactly as it was described online and the Host, Ms. Heckman, was phenomenal with communication! She was so accommodating to me and our wonky time frames since we were at the mercy of the band schedules. I don’t know if we will make it next year, but if we do, I sure hope to stay here again!

We are owners of VRBO property elsewhere so we completely understand the challenge of maintaining great properties. Property is in transitional neighborhood. The neighbors are quiet and ultimately safe. Fairly close to in town attractions. Good: Cowboy pool was cute and clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Living room was decorated nicely. Beds were adequate. Furniture was adequate. Didn’t use exercise equipment or hot tub. Bad: Absolutely inadequate HVAC - took many hours with central hvac and two separate room units to get the house below 78 degrees. There was black mold on the vents of the two separate hvac units! Oh, and the fire ants! Every crack in the tile or junction with worn out carpets were welcome highways for Texas fire-ants. My daughter and wife were both stung, even after applying copious Ant Spray supplied by host. The house floor slopes and the outside is in serious need of renovations/repairs. We didn’t approach the fire pit in the back yard as it was set in grass and…fire ants. Shower head leaked all over the floor in main hall bath. The house was poorly painted on the inside and wallpaper is pealing in several places. I’m guessing the house needs $60K of remediation to solve the hvac, foundation and other problems, nevermind the inside aesthetics. I am amazed that people slap lipstick on a pig and think it’s going to cover up fundamental issues. We would not return to this property.

I really loved this house. We packed so many things that we didn’t end up needing. She thought of everything! The neighbor’s dog barked at us loudly every time we stepped foot outside ?. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.

We had a great time at this property. We were just a few minutes from everything we wanted to see in San Antonio. Everything was spotless and very well decorated. We enjoyed the karaoke and the TVs when we were settling down. The cowboy pool and hot tub were a great addition. Just the small amountbof activity we wanted after touring all day. The host was very helpful and friendly. Overall, a very nice stay.
