The Old Home Place has the beauty of the country but only minutes from town. We are 4.2 miles from the Ark Encounter and less than an hour to The Creation museum, Cincinnati and Lexington. Our home is very peaceful, with something for all ages. The view from the back patio is stunning. We sit on 100 acres of land and there is a lot of nature to take in. A nice stroll back the ridge, or a game of pool, will offer you an enjoyable time away from home.
The Old Home Place was recently purchased with the intent of putting my great great grandparents farm back together. If it was still standing the original farm house would be almost a century old, however the original barn is still standing. We have a very nice view out the back including the pond (sorry no swimming allowed) and wildlife. Our beautiful farm can accommodate larger groups, we are a 3 bedroom home with 1 queen bed, a full bed, and a chaise lounge, these are upstairs. Downstairs we 1 full bed, 1 roll away bed and 1 air mattress. We have 2 bathrooms one of which has a jacuzzi tub, and 2 living room areas. Our kitchen located upstairs has all of your major appliancess, as well as the dishes, pots and pans needed to prepare a meal. There is a Keurig with assorted coffee's and a toaster. We have a large fenced in back yard, with plenty of room for outside activities. We offer high speed internet, cable t.v., DVD player with a large selection of DVD's. Other amenities include hairdryers, ironing board and iron, linens, on site laundry, and digital alarm clocks. We also have parking that would accommodate an R.V. or boat if needed. We are sure once you arrive you will want to spend most of your time outside taking in the scenic 360 degree view of rural farm life. We also have a care takers unit in the back part of the garage. This unit is attached to the home but completely separated by a hallway and two locked doors. The care takers live there full time and are only there to be available in case there is an issue that may arise. Please free to email with any further questions.

Nice place. Beautiful view. Quiet. May be a stretch to sleep 10. Was a little disappointed that the “pool” was not usable.

We stayed at this particular property as it was very close to the Ark Encounter. The home was warm and inviting. The only suggestion I have for people staying in the downstairs bedroom is leave the door open because there’s no ac vent and it got very hot in there. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be passing thru again in the next year so we will look y’all up. Be blessed Laura

Super cute home! Easy access and bigger than expected. My group of 10 fit comfortably and they enjoyed the pool table and how big the back area was. I would definitely recommend this place and would even consider using again myself.

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming country home! The home was full of character, beautifully maintained, and the comforts of home we needed. It easily accommodated our group 5 adults and 4 children. It was peaceful and cozy. 10 mins away from Noah’s Ark.

My family and I enjoyed this property so much that I really hate to tell everyone for fear I’ll never be able to book it again. Enjoyed every morning with beautiful sites in all directions. One morning while on balcony, two Canadian geese flew over so close I could almost touch them while my daughter saw deer from the back porch. We had great communication from the owner. The interior was decorated so beautifully with different crafts that had to have taken a long time to accumulate. We cooked meals inside and out with the amenities provided. We hiked and experienced many waterfalls semi close of which our twin great grandsons now want one of. Also the Ark adventure is close which is magnificent. Groceries are not too far away. Lastly, just be careful entering and leaving the property which is has a driveway located near the bottom of two hills. Hope you enjoy this location as much as we did. Can’t wait to visit again.

Our family had a great time at this beautiful house. Super close to Ark and places to eat all while feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere. Our fave was morning coffee on the deck overlooking the pond. Highly recommend this place for your next stay in Kentucky!!

The Old Home Place was a pleasant stay, with clean rooms. We were surprised that it didn’t have bathroom toiletries and kitchen basic items, such as foil, plastic wrap, oil or spray. Mornings with coffee on the balcony offered a lovely view, and the pool table was very popular. It was a wonderful place to stay for a visit to the Ark Encounter and a reasonable distance from the Creation Museum.
