The Oak Lodge - 3 Bedroom Cabin with Swimming Pool Access! Close to Downtown

property is beautiful and air was fine - great location

Check-in was easy, ktichen was stocked. Garbage disposal wasn't working though. Could use dish rags to dry dishes as there is no dishwasher.

This was a great place to stay. Very spacious, clean and easy access to entertainment and shopping (and the AC works great on these hot Texas days!) We would definitely stay here again! The beds were very comfortable and overall a great experience.

4 friends had more room than needed in the very spacious cabin. It needs place mats to protect the table & hot pads for the kitchen.

The home was an older home which had been updated, and it was clean and comfortable with adequate space. The host was very accommodating, and coffee, cream, and snacks were provided for us. The only thing we would suggest would be better lighting for putting on makeup in the larger bathroom adjoining the bedroom with two beds.

When we returned to lodge from Sat shopping at 530p, the door would not unlock. Started calling only # available and for next 2 hours got cut off and put on hold. There was a total of 5 people trying the combo to no avail. There was not a lockbox on the building as we were told. No one locally to help. Finally found a window unlocked - the neighbor crawled thru and opened the door. Have tried to speak to management but according to her I “ interrupted” her so she would not converse with me and hung up, refusing to take my calls. One of my friends is a stroke victim and needed her meds which were locked up. The

House is across the street from a large Market. If you are going to the market (one Saturday a month) it is a perfect location. Very heavy traffic on that day. Location is convenient to drive to town. The bathrooms are spacious. Nice large fireplace. The primary problem we had was that there was something either in the attic or on the roof above the kitchen area, that frequently made a loud noise like somebody moving furniture around (bumping and scraping). We looked outside but only found a medium sized branch touching the roof and it wasn't windy. Otherwise, the only problem was lack of attention to details. All four bulbs were burned out in one of the kitchen fixtures so it was very dark. The ice maker didn't work. The coffee pot took 30 minutes to make one pot. There was one white wine glass and one red wine glass (which was cracked), and 3 coffee mugs. The mattress cover in our bedroom was cheap plastic, so every time you roll over there is a loud crunching sound (but at least there was a mattress cover!) Just a heads up, the house is plenty large for couples (3 bedrooms) but they charge 75 per person for anything over 4 people. I didn't realize it and just searched for 3 bedroom houses then got an email about the extra charge. Its probably in the fine print but I didn't see it.

It was great and exactly what we needed for this trip-a Thursday night wedding in Wimberley. It’s a little hard to find at night so keep a close eye out. The only suggestion would be the hot water doesn’t get very hot.
