The home was very nice in a very quiet area. If you are looking to relax and just unwind this could be the place. Close to restaurants and shopping.

A quick easy trip for groceries completed it all. Short beautiful walk to Richardson beach and not far from some great snorkeling with many turtles and beautiful fish. I was even able to look some up that I didn't recognize in books that were provided. We made an impromptu trip at 3am to watch episode 26 erupt! Went spelunking in the lava caves and enjoyed shave ice and malasadas. Wonderful lanai for morning coffee and relaxing evenings. We love the fresh produce on trees in the yard and all the tropical sounds. Hilo Farmers market is a must. Highly recommended and we will definitely be planning our next stay here. Thank you!

This is a beautiful property and very convenient to one of the best beaches in Hilo. The owner is very helpful and responsive to all my questions. I gave four stars because there are missing amenities that are important to me and my family, such as a/c, dishwasher, blackout curtains. We had the fans on all day and night but not enough to cool down the house especially in the afternoon. The heat drained my energy on our first day. The neighbors dog barked a lot on our first night, we couldn’t close the window to lessen the noise because we needed to leave it open to keep the master bedroom a little cooler than the rest of the house. The next morning, we told the owner the noise issue, they contacted the neighbors and there were no more dog barking at night the rest of our stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at Robert and Erin’s place in Hilo. Every detail was thoughtful, from the shampoo and conditioner available in each shower, to the snacks, to all the beach equipment, to the fully stocked kitchen, to the washer and dryer. There was nothing we needed that they didn’t have. They were quickly responsive to any questions we had. The house itself was perfect for our family of five - the two adults stayed in the bedroom upstairs, and the three kids shared the bedroom downstairs (and bonus-they had their own bathroom!). The neighborhood is quiet and a very short walk to Richardson’s beach. Carlsmith beach, just a few minutes’ drive away, was our favorite though, because that’s where we got to swim with sea turtles. The location was also ideal for all of our adventures - Punalu’u beach and the volcano national park were two favorites. Were we to visit again, we’d gladly stay in this house again. We were sad to leave it!

We loved our stay. Property is well maintained and location is ideal. Just a few minutes walk to some excellent snorkeling. The owners were very responsive and attentive. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We took a short trip to Hilo to relax and do some touristy things. The accomodations were clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. We particularly liked the food trucks a short drive away. The location provided wonderful access the many nearby beach parks, and great accessiblity (by car) to downtown Hilo and its environs.

Very cute cottage like home with great personal touches and great additions. Loved the sweet little cookies and drinks left for us, the towels and beach equipment were also great. Comfortable beds and great yard with greenery
