This cabin was AS pictured and MORE !! Property was gorgeous and clean! Bed so comfy it invited you back again and again.Deer came so close to the front of of the house in early evening and morning to graze you could sit at the kitchen table and enjoy a cup or coffee or a glass of wine and loose yourself in nature. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, there was not a want or need for more.The hot tub was so relaxing we spent morning, noon and night sitting, listening to music and taking in the landscape. We will return for sure !!!!

This was definitely a picturesque cabin in the woods. Everything was beautiful, and we got lucky with the weather. From lounging in the hammock, warming up next to the fire pit on a chilly night, or gazing up at the stars in the hot tub, I would highly recommend this place if you're looking to get away for some R&R. Just sitting outside and enjoying the sights, sound, and feel of nature was refreshing. We were even able to bring our telescope and do some stargazing. Such a great spot with clear skys. Stock up the little fridge and you can even cook your own meals on the stove, with the oven, or even the grill outside. The options for having romantic meals are endless, with fair weather, eating outside for almost every meal definitely set the mood. Of course, the location is also great, just a short drive to Wimberly Town Square, with a plethora of great little shops and eateries. 11/10 would stay again

Good communication with host. Charming, cozy cabin, thoughtfully appointed and interesting. Linens were good. Bathtub and outdoor shower were wonderful. Bed was a little too soft for us, but we tend to like firmer mattresses. Perfect for a short getaway. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This place was perfect for me and my future wife. Had to take her out in her birthday and it was perfect.

Very nice cabin with great attention to detail. Stashing the tv in the ceiling with counter weights is genius! We appreciated the thoughtful touches for our pupper, all the extra towels, and the overall cleanliness. The mattress was absolutely THE Most comfortable mattress we have ever experienced. My husband and I slept so soundly. I only woke up when the critters set off the motion sensor walkway lights. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. They made sure the hot tub was ready for us when we arrived, tired from the road. My husband loved the outdoor shower and I loved the claw-foot tub. If there was one thing I would have had different, it would have been the window covers. They were great for the era but short on privacy. I loved all the natural light, but would have loved more privacy. There are neighbors close by. Also, the top pipe rail on the bed is not short people friendly, but it is beautifully made. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

It was quiet and comfortable. Easy access from I35 or east of Wimberley. I would only suggest some comfy furniture on the back porch. Otherwise, it was a unique and lovely place to stay.

The property was awesome. Very clean and cozy and very well kept. It was nice just sitting on the porch, enjoying nature and the peacefulness it provides. It has all of the amenities that you would need for a nice relaxing getaway. Even though you feel like you are out in the middle of nature you are less than a 10 minute drive to some very nice shops and restaurants at the Wimberly Square. Excellent cabin, excellent location that I would highly recommend!!!

Surprised at decorum, very impressive . Quiet and very comfortable. Great travel location for bikers. Easy access for motorcyclists.

It was a quaint and cozy cabin out in nature but close enough to the town. We have a really wonderful time and would highly recommend anyone stay for a fun getaway!

It is totally different than what I expected. Very quiet, peaceful and lots of deer! We were close to town but hidden in the woods. The cabin itself was the main entertainment. Something interesting around every corner and ceiling. Loved it.

Property was great and relaxing. Hot Tub was a plus for the starry nights.

This was a great cabin for my husband and I to get away for a weekend. We throughly enjoyed the space and what was offered. We were able to cook small meals, enjoy the hot tub, and it is so close to shopping/recreation/restaurants. We had a small issue with a breaker after a crazy rain storm blew in. The hosts were so helpful and quick with getting us back up & running. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

This property was amazing. While it had a neighbor, it felt secluded and cozy. Still close enough to town to get anything needed. There are some hidden gems and was just like the listing advertised. We want to go back!

My wife and I enjoyed two nights at Moonshiner. The place cozy! We loved the aesthetic, the hot tub, and outdoor shower. Jen was very helpful and prompt in her responses. We'll be back!

This cabin was the absolute perfect little spot to help celebrate our 2nd anniversary.. We loved having the quiet relaxing atmosphere with the perks of being close enough to town in case of needed supplies etc. definitely worth it and looking forward to a return visit.

The esthetic of the cabin is adorable! I absolutely loved all the little things that bright the theme to life in this cabin. However, there is no comfort to be found. The mattress slopes so bad to the middle my back hurt the entire stay. The couch is cool to look at but not comfortable. There are no cushions for any chairs outside or kitchen. Internet worked only the first night we were there. A rodent was trying to nest or chew through the wall every night of our 4 night stay. And to No fault of the hosts…the neighbors dogs are absolutely horrible! They will start barking at 2-230am and not stop the whole day. Unfortunately, this did not create the much needed serenity we were hoping for on our anniversary get away. We thought it would be a secluded place for relaxation, but in fact, the neighbors are very close and the fence is not built seamless enough to enjoy a private evening outside.

Me and my boyfriend had a romantic getaway. We enjoyed the hottub and star gazing. Walking and shopping in town had dinner at chili's on the river. The cabin is very cute and has lots of charm and character. Feels like you stepped back in time.

We loved: the theme and decor of the cabin, location, how the TV dropped out of the ceiling, the milk bath option, the hot tub, and the fire pit. We liked how the landscape made us feel like we were secluded in the woods.

My husband and I come here every year. We love moonshiner for its unique style. It is always clean and the owners are super responsive. The cabin is well equipped with everything you need, the bed is comfortable, and you have privacy. We always enjoy our stay here.ourselves every time we come.

we very much enjoyed our weekend getaway at the moonshiner cabin. it was private, cozy and exactly as pictured!! the vintage vibes were the perfect touch. close to town yet hidden away and quiet. gregory & jennifer were great hosts, quick to respond and very kind! we would definitely recommend and we ourselves hope to be back again as well.

This property was quiet and restful. Loved the outdoor shower and hot tub. Creative decor. Eco-conscious which was a plus. We used it as a home base for the Formula 1 race at COTA. Worked great.

The Moonshiner is absolutely lovely. Husband and I stayed last year and enjoyed it so much we booked it again this year. Adorable and comes with everything you could need. I would highly recommend staying here over and over again!

We have stayed at other bnb’s in Wimberly before but The Moonshiner is the place to stay hands down. Can’t be beat for location, size, amenities and price! Can’t wait to come back again!

This little cabin in the woods was decorated perfectly, and cute as a button. The owners thought of every detail of decor, providing great conversation as we checked out all the little things he built by hand. Very relaxing with deer and other wildlife nearby. Proximity to town was perfect, only a few mins drive. We enjoyed the town shops and dining, stopped at a couple breweries, took in a night time kayak ride on the Comal, and a concert at Whitewater Amphitheater. All activities close and easy to get to and from this little cabin. I recommended to the owners that the bed is ready for replacement for a more comfortable night's sleep. But it still gets 5 stars as we 100% enjoyed our stay.
