This place is perfect!

Great communication with the host pre-arrival, we even got to check in a little early for our 4-night stay. Super clean and well stocked; unlike some VRBO properties I've stayed in. There were plenty of back-up paper products, good cookware with left-behind spices, coffee/filters, a bucket of wood for the chiminea and even a soft-side cooler with beach chairs/towels. We spent a lot of time on the deck - coffee/cocktails!We packed the cooler for day-trips up and down A1A, exploring. Dinner at Columbia and Casa Maya were fantastic, St. Augustine Fish Camp was disappointing aside from the great atmosphere and bread pudding. I'd 100% recommend this property to other travelers.

This a great location and a super house! The hosts have thought about everything, and you can see the love they have put into the house. Lincolnville is a great neighborhood to explore, and the historical downtown is not far. Lots of great restaurants, museums, and historical sites. Loved our stay!

This was my first rental through VRBO and it was amazing. The host was prompt and clear with communicating and the location was perfect. Everything was clean and the house theme was such a fun touch!

We stayed two nights in this cozy cottage. Sheri the host thought of everything as far as amenities. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, great outdoor seating area. Walking distance to St George street. Quiet neighborhood and safe. Highly recommend staying here. Sherri is a very attentive host.

This is a beautiful property! Everything you would need is supplied. 1/2 mile from the heart of historic St Augustine. We walked everywhere. Quick, easy communication with the host. My granddaughter and I had a wonderful weekend trip. Would definitely come here again.

Sherri is probably the best host we have ever had in one of our VRBO rentals. This property is immaculate and gorgeous. The house was perfect for us with so many thoughtful amenities and provisions, and it could easily be a spread in Southern Living magazine. It’s beautiful! Sherri and her husband have given such care to all of the finishes and the decor, making it refreshing and pleasing to our souls and spirits. We are definitely hoping to come back again for a longer stay! The house is very well situated to all Saint Augustine offers. Sherri even offered several suggestions for us on great places to eat and none of them disappointed! Be sure you go to the St. Augustine Fish Camp which is real close by. We also enjoyed Casa Reina, Harry’s, and a long time favorite of ours kept The Columbia (all within 5 to 8 minutes from the house. This is a 10/10 property that we will recommend to friends and family! There’s not one detail that we would’ve changed or anything we would’ve added to make the house more comfortable and appealing. Our thanks to our great hosts!

We recently rented The Mermaid's Tale for our short stay in St. Augustine. The cottage had everything we needed for our trip. It was clean, cozy, well-stocked and Sherri was an attentive host. Walking to St.George Street only took a few minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely book this rental again in the future!

Our third time staying at mermaids tale and it never disappoints. It is a wonderfully special place with added amenities each visit. This time choclates on my night table.

I booked this trip to celebrate my granddaughter and my birthday. We had a great time!! The Mermaid’s Tail was not only in a great location, but it was also an adorable home. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck each night having wonderful conversations together. We created some beautiful memories!! Thank you for everything, Sherri!

The Mermaid’s Tale is a fantastic home in a great location with awesome owners! The home is a perfect, cozy home away from home that we feel blessed we discovered. It is fully equipped and always perfectly clean! It was our 3rd time staying, and we are looking forward to another visit next year!!

Several blocks from most of historic area but walkable and with trolley stop at end of block. Adorable decor. Lovely shady deck on side. Everything in good condition. Plenty of towels. Kitchen well-equipped and supplied. Off-street parking. Good lighting both interior and exterior. Light switches well-labeled.It’s hard to find something to criticize.Pretty safe side-street for kids.

Quick little road trip from Ft Lauderdale for my Birthday and we were really looking forward to seeing this place after looking at the pictures over and over again. Great communication with Sherri the whole trip and she reached out the day before with all the info and early check in. Good start! The curb appeal of this house is fantastic. The colors really stand out and the landscaping is great. The front entry is clean and its nice that they kept the original brick steps and the wood floors, I notice things like that. The inside of the house is laid out perfectly with the open floorplan and windows. They really used every inch of space to make things fit and practical. It is decorated wonderfully right down to the different fixtures and all the kitchen stuff. We enjoyed the area and there is a trolley pick up right down the street. We will definitely be back to finish exploring the downtown area, we just ran out of time. If your dates are open, book this thing. You will not be disappointed!!

The cottage was exactly what we needed. It felt like home away from home. It was clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to downtown Saint Augustine from the cottage without difficulty. We loved it!!!

Our family stayed at this charming home for the weekend. It was within walking distance of downtown and were able to walk to dinner and all the attractions we wanted. The home is beautiful and clean. It had all the amenities that make a stay more enjoyable such as soaps, paper products, and toiletries. They even had chocolates on our pillows Sherri was very attentive and check in and check out instructions were very clear.

We only stayed 4 nights. The house was immaculate & comfortable. The only thing that we missed were luggage racks for our suitcases, a minor inconvenience. I'd to add that the coffee maker has a timed feature but is difficult to read. We learned the hard way to not plug the unit in until we were ready to brew.

Property as advertised - very clean and comfortable. An easy 10-15 minute walk to historic downtown depending on which part you’re going to. Host was great - check-in and out procedures communicated clearly. Would definitely stay there again.

The property was clean and quiet. The neighborhood was a 10 min walk to downtown.

Pictures do not do this home justice. As soon as you walk in you feel the warmth of this home. We had a perfect stay, could not ask for anything better. Home well stocked with necessities. My son and I like to walk and we were able to do so, more sidewalks would be helpful.

Perfect stay for us. Very nice decor, loved the patio & outdoor lighting. The first day the dog next door was outside & barking but that didn’t happen again. We didn’t use the extra room with bunk beds but that would be great for a couple with kids. The location in Lincolnville was great- literally steps from the cultural center, close to the fish camp & ice house on Riberia street & walkable (about a mile) to downtown St Augustine. It was a great value & we’d stay there again.

The PERFECT house, the location, the cleanliness, the amenities. What else can I say! Oh…. And the host, ALWAYS available. You better book soon, ‘cause winter dates are filling fast!
