The Marie is Ready to Host You and Yours

Shrubs were overgrown . We could barely see the the beautiful flowers that were there. Patio furniture was not clean. On the inside either the lights worked or the fans worked but not both

Lots of room indoor and outdoor. Back yard needed some attention to the dog do do. House was stocked with everything we needed. Tried to communicate with the host a few times before our trip with no response. Not far from Charleston at all. Nice area.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was easy to communicate with the host and the property met our needs perfectly. We really enjoyed our stay.

We would recommend this to anyone else. Nice place.

The hosts have pretty much provided anything you could possibly need! All 3 generations of ladies in my family had a fantastic stay. Extra kudos for having more than one option of coffee maker!!!

This home was nice for a long weekend stay (or a week) to visit family or explore scenic sights in the downtown area. The VRBO location is well accessible, but remember that Hwy 52 is a major thoroughfare to all communities. Communication with the owner was great when needed. The fenced-in backyard was a good space for entertaining a small group, although we did not. The negative was that the grass was not cut, which made it unpleasant in the morning dew and during afternoon play with the dogs. The mosquitoes and nates were out and biting.

The home was very clean, had everything we needed!! Very nice & quiet neighborhood. The host was very responsive whenever I reached out with a question. The grill was nice and we enjoyed having our S.C. family over for a cookout. We were going to bring our pup, but changed our plans…the backyard would have been perfect for her. Highly recommend & will definitely stay at The Marie again when in the SC area. Thank you for sharing your home

The Marie is wonderful, what a gem this place is! This home lacks for nothing. Our family stayed 5 nights. This home’s location makes getting around very easy. It is clean, comfortable, and located in a quiet neighbourhood. The Marie has a homey relaxing feel about it. We appreciated the comfortable beds at the end of a long day of being out and about. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook a meal, or BBQ in the beautiful backyard. It has everything you’d need for a beach day too. The host was quick to rely to emails, and checking in was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it.

This was the most recent of several stays at The Marie, and we’re already booked for another. The property remains a great home away from home. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and centrally located. As I recently told the owner, it’s as close to perfect as you can get (for us at least). I’m so glad we found this gem. And the owners are fantastic to work with!

The ‘Marie’ is an adorable, refurbished family home located in the North Charleston area. My husband and I were renters for the entire month of March, 2026, and found the accommodations to be perfect for us and our 2 family dogs.The house was very clean and well kept, providing the perfect stay for our lengthy visit. There were no indications of pets ever being in the house, therefore KUDOS to the housekeeper.Communication was just a text away, with response time well within our expectations,,,normally just minutes away.The owner(s) obviously take a great deal of pride in their family home that goes back generations. Family heirlooms are present throughout the home, making one travel back in time to when this house hosted family get-togethers and celebrations :). I actually found myself sitting in front of the fireplace many times envisioning these happy times from the past….Fenced yard was perfect for our dogs, and neighborhood was very quiet.All in all, a very pleasurable reprieve from our normal winter March in the north !

The property was great for our stay. There were many details and amenities that made it comfortable. Plenty of towels, supplies -even for our dog. Yard and patio were great for hanging out. Neighborhood is close to everything. We stayed for a Citadel graduation.

The Marie is a beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. It is close enough to Charleston to drive down and enjoy the city but come back and relax of the evenings. The house is well equipped for a couple or a family with kids. Our dog enjoyed the big fenced in backyard and we enjoyed the patio and having a gas grill was definitely a plus. The only negative for us was that the bed was very firm.. However we learned a couple of years ago that beds are different in all VRBO’s so we invested in a mattress topper to always take with us on our trips. Marie was wonderful to communicate with and graciously offered ideas for attractions to visit and restaurants, The East Bay Deli just minutes away from the house was excellent for quick sandwiches,

Perfect house for our stay. About 10-15 min drive to the Ice Palace (depending on time of day). Wonderful pet-friendly house and fenced-in backyard. Rooms were clean, towels and furnishings were plentiful. Internet is speedy. Nice that the host allows day guests, so we were able to have a teammate and parent hang out with us for a few hours one afternoon. The best part is that the host was so easy to communicate with and super responsive at all times. Thank you!!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute little cottage. Very clean and comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give a five is the internet kept going out. Otherwise, perfect!

This property is well kept and had everything that we needed. We appreciated the ability to do laundry, Roku TV in every bedroom, private backyard, and nice quiet neighborhood. It is close to the airport which was a plus for us. It is about a 30-45 minute drive to two very nice county beaches (Isle of Palms Beach and Folly Beach). We stayed in North Charleston because of proximity to a wedding we attended. After exploring Charleston and surrounding areas we would likely stay more south of Charleston if we visit again. I would recommend this property if you need to be in North Charleston.

This was our third stay and we will continue coming back. It’s just a great property with great owners. They recently upgraded the master bath shower and it is really nice!

Rental was BETTER than advertised and expected!!! COMPLETELY Spotless Cleaned throughout the property, the Host was SOOO easy to reach out (with extra local contacts if needed them too), Perfect for my 'fur brother' who said it was Woof-derful and very Pet Friendly! Convenient to All Things Charleston Area and a Very Nice Neighborhood! HIGHLY recommend if you're staying in the area to stay at The Marie! Truly felt like home away from home!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and comfortable, making it easy to settle in and relax. We’re especially grateful for the thoughtful extras—having beach toys and accessories available made our beach days even more fun and stress-free. The spacious yard was a huge bonus for our dog, who absolutely loved having room to run and play. It was the perfect spot for a family getaway, and we truly appreciated all the little touches that made our stay special. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at The Marie, and we’ve already booked two more stays. The property is very clean and comfortable. It’s also more spacious than you would think, with plenty of room to spread out. The back yard is large, fenced, and well maintained. The owners are easy to communicate with and make the process very smooth. You get so much for your money here, it’s hard to even think about booking somewhere else.

This was the second time I stayed at this property with family to visit my son. It is in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood yet very close to shopping and the Navy base. Extremely clean home that is very pet friendly. The beds are very comfortable, we couldn’t ask for better accommodations. We definitely plan to stay there the next time we are in town.

Our friend group stayed for the High Water Music festival. We had a lovely time staying at the Marie. The beds were comfortable and the home was clean.

My son is in the United States Navy and the location of this property was perfect proximity to the graduation venue. Only downfall was the unusual cold but that had nothing to do with the property. Would definitely revisit and recommend.
