The Lemon Lodge - Ziggurat Suite

We simply loved our stay at the Lemon Lodge. It was without a doubt one of the most unique and beautiful places we ever slept in. The setting on top of the hill, being surrounded by nature, the discreet and helpful owners, the stylish and spacious appartment: it all made our first visit to the Algarve unforgetable. We fell in love with the Lemon Lodge and were super sad we could only stay three nights. Yes, the drive up there is adventurous but once you’ve mastered the bumpy ride, you get rewarded with the most amazing setting. The house is beautifully designed, very well equipped and the colours and lighting are stunning and well thought through. We got to meet Michelle, who is such a lovely person. The dogs and cats came to visit us regularly which we loved. We explored the premises which are vast and absolutely beautiful. What a great place! We hope to be back again someday.

The presentation of this accommodation on the internet looks very nice and promising. However, we got a strong impression that since the property is listed for sale, the owners have lost interest in exploiting the accommodation in a correct way. First of all, communication with rental Valley went rather difficult. We had to call the owner to know the digit code for the lock on the door. Upon check-in, no one came to say hi or did so for the length of the stay. Nor did anyone call to check if all was ok. When we returned at night, we almost had to break into the house because the lock is very sturdy and we almost didn’t manage to turn the digits. Kitchen is poorly equipped. 2 fires, no microwave or oven, no dishwasher, no detergent to wash dishes by hand. The bed is very good! The dog is very kind and welcoming.

It was a great experience to stay there! A beautiful house and a fantastic garden in a beatiful surrounding. Managed by nice people Access by road is in rainy season a bit of a challange but definately manageable

If you’re looking for a place to completely escape from the hustle of bustle of every day life, this is it. The Lemon Lodge offered a true retreat. My partner and I spent 3 nights here and didn’t leave the property. It was so quiet and peaceful that we didn’t want to break the spell of this oasis. It seems like every guest has the same mindset and everyone stays quiet and to themselves to really get the most out of their experience. We also did the breathework session, and clairvoyance session with Helena and both really added to our experience. We have never been able to relax as much as both of these sessions allowed us to do. We couldn’t thank her more for these wonderful experiences. Overall we couldn’t recommend this place more. Total tranquility, peace, and contemplation.

Everything about this place is wonderful!! We spent 2 amazing days at Lemon Lodge and for sure would have stayed longer if we could have. The owners have put so much love and attention to detail into this place, which is very noticeable. It's just beautiful! There are lots of little places to sit, read a book and relax around the property. For us the best part was definitely also the ice bath, sauna and yoga deck! The dogs were also a big plus for us, we had a really fun time playing around with them. Perfect place to come wind down and relax for a few days! Can 100% recommend!

Beautiful place to stay!

We would recommend the lemon lodge to anyone who likes to forget about time and feel safe in nature. the location is absolutely amazing with a view over the aljezur mountains and the lodge is made with a lot of style and love. the hosts are open and warm people and you feel directly at home with them. they are always available for questions and always have a good recommendation ready. we will definitely be back!

Although we found a window with only 2 nights free, it was totally worth going to Lemon Lodge. Beautiful nature, hills, authentic and spacious clay, brick and mortar house. All things done with love and care. The fireplace was burning throughout the day and the smell of eucalyptus was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. The owners are great people with their vision, passion and an inspiring story behind their work. This kind of tourism experience has future - keep up doing what you are doing!

We had a wonderful stay at The Lemon Lodge. After a warm welcome by Alex, we immediately felt at home. We really enjoyed the peace, the nature, the lovely dogs and horses and of course the great accommodation. Back to nature yet luxurious. We would love to come back again.
