The Lake House - private house on Lake Erie - 10 min from downtown

To say this stay was terrible is understating things. This host invaded our privacy, broke the law by shutting off the heat when we had children in the house (we had to call the police to get it back on), then after we stayed a single night he REFUSED to refund any of the prepayment. During all this time he never gave us any warnings of his intent to evict us and refused to answer the phone. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE IT IS NOT WORTH IT. THIS HOST WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. and VRBO can do nothing to get it back.

This Lakepark house was worth every penny. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and felt so peaceful and serene exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, close to everything yet tucked away enough to feel private and quiet. Our host was incredible: welcoming, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth stay. We can’t recommend this place enough and would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful lake house with incredible views!

My husband and I so loved our first night of a three night stay in this architecturally amazing Lake House on the shores of Lake Erie. WE didn't invite our son, daughter and six year old grandson to join us until the following day -- Highly recommended !We negotiated the move in well and the relaxed to watch the sunset. Well mother nature had more in store for us ! We did see the beginning of a sunset which was quite stunning, but then as only shallow Lake Erie knows how to do -- a storm rolled and kicked up the show to an un-paramounted level. The lightening started to the south when we were sitting outside on the lovely cushioned seating area. Eventually raindrops sent us inside, which in a regular old lake house would end much of the visuals -- but not in this house! It was the most spectacular show I have seen since July 4, 1969. (Where were you on that date in history?) The lightening was spectacular all night long . We watched and then decided to recline on the floor to get the full effect. We have been storm watcher even on Victoria island on the Pacific, but I challenge any one to have a better light show than this. Remarkably-- we had forecasts for rain storms all weekend, but as I have often witness, they usually come across Lake Erie at night, so it doesn't spoil your daytime fun. Just like Camelot -- The rain may never fall 'til after sundown, by 8 the morning fog must disapear. In short there's simply not, a more congenial spot, for happily-ever

This beautiful lakeside home is a perfect spot to rejuvenate and reconnect. Sunrise and sunset on the deck and the comfort of the home has a way of taking you away from the city. Our hosts are beyond accommodating! We “Vrbo” a lot and believe this residence is a definite repeater!

The Lake House was the perfect escape for us. All the serenity that an ocean front view property could offer, while having the convenience of being just a short drive away, on Ohio’s North Coast!

The Lake House is incredibly peaceful and relaxing with incredible views of Lake Erie. The Lakewood area is quiet/suburban with everything you need. While staying at the Lake House we enjoyed the deck, watching boats, jet skis, and listening to the waves. The house has a great design and all the comforts you need for relaxing and unwinding.

Loved our stay at the lake house! Spectacular take your breath away views. Got to see the Northern Lights over Lake Erie. Woke up to the waves crashing and bald eagles. Would have paid double for this experience. Would come back.

We had a fantastic weekend at The Lake House! The property was just as pictured and the deck and lake view were amazing. The property was very clean and comfortable. The proximity to restaurants and entertainment made this an unforgettable weekend. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Owners had excellent communication! Check in/out was a breeze. They had a nice informational sheet in the house! Location, location, location! The town of Lakewood had a small town family feel yet close to everything!! Be prepared for the steps to & from the house, once you master that the views are breathtaking! That wrap around porch was to die for! Everything was top notch inside & out! We've let family & friends know of this property in hopes they will experience what we did during our stay!! Thank you thank you!
