The Isabella - A stunning historical adobe condo in Barrio Viejo

My husband and I came to Tucson to visit our daughter for her baby shower. Our stay here was amazing! The property is so well appointed and the details of care and hospitality are present through. The location was ideal for us with a morning walk to the bakery a favorite on our list! We have already rebooked for our next stay when the baby is born!

I always enjoy this comfortable and convenient barrio property. Communication with the property manager was excellent. I also really appreciate that they have little snacks for guests. I didn't partake this time, but they're nice to have in a pinch. The neighborhood is quiet and I feel quite at ease walking around solo. I hope to return!

Our first visit to Tucson, after acclimating we realized what a great location in addition to being such a nice property. Perfect for a couple. Dryer was a little loud but other than that Isabella was awesome !

Great little house with charming shared courtyard in the Barrio Viejo part of Tucson. We used it as a base for hiking the National Parks and forests and it was perfect for the 2 of us. Clean and well appointed. Property manager was responsive and helpful. The one preference we would have is for a larger freezer as it was college dorm size but other than that it was fantastic.

Our stay at The Isabella was absolutely great! It is in a nice neighborhood that is walking-distance to very good restaurants. It was centrally located for the hiking, shopping and exploring that we had planned to do in and around the Tucson area. The Isabella has all of the comforts of home and is very clean and beautifully appointed. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Tucson!

The Isabella Adobe Condo is fantastic and very well appointed with every small detail you would imagine addressed. Their guest information booklet is among the best I have found in any of our many past rentals……..

Our accommodations were comfortable and spacious and had lovely south western decor. The locks were easy to use….Cupboards were well stocked with lovely glasses and dishes and condiments.However, the electric stove was very challenging to use. We recommend adding a microwave.

A lovely, beautifully restored unit in a historic neighborhood. The restaurants nearby were exceptional (5 Points, Forbes Meat Co., Coronet) and Exo coffee was terrific too. This is an important neighborhood and I highly recommend learning about its history. Our host was just terrific too. Couldn’t have been a better experience.

Great communication from the host. Loved the locale, within walking distance of good restaurants and downtown. Very nice property with all the amenities one could want.

Darling space, beautifully furnished with everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable! Very clean all over and instructions were helpful and clear. It is on two levels, one significant step to the bedroom, which was a little difficult for me. Otherwise our stay was perfect!

This is a beautiful neighborhood and a beautiful home. I would stay here again. Walked a short ways to transit lines and went where I needed to go easily.

Great stay!

The Isabella is perfectly decorated to match the style of the home and area. We traveled with our dog and found a great little park at the end of the block for him so that was very convenient! The court yard is off limits to pets but it’s nice and shady with furniture to sit on and enjoy the surroundings. It’s a sweet quiet complex. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with most anything you would need, even a nice selection of spices! The location to downtown, grocery stores, restaurants & bars is a short drive and would be easy to walk to many places as well. This will be our go-to VRBO for any future visits to Tucson. The only thing missing were blackout shades in the bedroom, we are rather light senator but we were able to hang blankets over the areas that let in a lot of light. To be honest, I wanted to keep this place as our own little secret find but then that’s not a very nice thing to do :)

Absolutely love this property. It has the perfect amount of space for 2 people, including a quiet back patio. The neighborhood is lovely to walk around too.

If we could give more than a 5 star rating, we would! The place was beautiful! Clean, conveniently located and with a great deal of special touches. If we are ever back in Tucson we definitely would rent this place again!

I truly enjoyed my stay at The Isabella! It was clean, quiet, comfortable and very welcoming! The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. Jennifer was very quick to communicate and answer any questions I had. I honestly can’t say one negative word about The Isabella, it is a great stay and I would definitely stay here again! There are also two places in the neighborhood you can walk to and have coffee and pastries with nice outdoor seating. I had a wonderful stay, Thank You!!

Jen’s place was as advertised! Spotless and very well maintained. All appliances were new and the owners provided detailed usage instructions for everything. The area is close to downtown yet very quiet. We had good communication with Jennifer and she was very helpful. I would highly recommend staying at her unit. We intend to go back this winter.

This is our second one month stay at The Isabella. The home is lovelier than the pictures and very comfortable to be in. The location is so fun. We enjoyed walking to town, going to historic sites, and the restaurants and galleries close by.

The Isabella was very clean and well maintained. It was a cute place to stay for a visit to Tucson. We loved being able to walk to numerous locations in the downtown area. We also loved relaxing on the back patio area with coffee or perhaps a cold one.The bed was extremely comfortable and we had good sleep during our visit. Occasionally the house would let out a noise with the changing outside temps.Our only concern was changing the house to a dog friendly rental. I'm sure most other Americans will like that.

Relaxing and quiet location, short walk to good food, nice neighborhood. Beautifully furnished and kept inside. Would recommend and I would easily go back. Framed art is local and perfect for the ambiance.

Up and coming nice little neighborhood. Extremely well apportioned small house with great king size bed. Perfect for 2 person getaway. Easy check in, easy drive to all of Tucson. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a central Tucson stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is spacious, with beautiful historic features. It was stocked with everything we needed (and more) for a long-term stay. The oven/microwave is tricky at first, but Jenn's instructions (posted on side of fridge) plus a youtube video were helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable to many desired destinations. Great hiking is a reasonable drive in all directions. Communication with the host is first rate.

Despite the irritating and needlessly complicated Italian appliances we love all else about this rental. Quiet, clean, nicely appointed. Jenn is so easy to deal with as manager.

Nicely stocked with lots of extras in the frig, the bathroom (q-tips, suntan lotion, all soaps, coffee, jam, sodas) A little tough using some of the appliances the first time. Very comfortable bed, but high We would happily stay here again

All good, well equipped kitchen, even sharp knives, Weber grill on the back patio. Comfortable king-size bed. Recommend without any reservations and would stay there again.

This property is exactly as described. It is clean and completely functional. Everyone you need is there for you. Bed is very comfortable, great shower, washer/dryer, kitchen is fabulous. Clean. Really clean. The outdoor space is so cute, reserved parking for for you. This place has it all. We loved it!

Came for the Tour de Tucson. The perfect little Isabella is situated close enough to walk to the event several times before and after the race. Renovated, old adobe buildings circa 1800s with restaurants and cantinas galore. Small porch in back is an oasis! Decor is IKEA & local art! Quiet, comfy & cozy. The Isabella is perfection!

Perfect property for a stay near central Tucson

Very unique property that is close to downtown. This is my new favorite place to stay in Tucson!

Cozy comfortable very well equipped

Comfortable and spacious. Problems with Internet connection at first but they were resolved within a day. Interesting part of the city.

Most important for us was that it was walkable to family in the area. In addition, it was a clean & cosy place in a Historic Tucson neighborhood.

The house is very charming and stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay!

Will definitely stay here again , very nice place , close to U of AZ
