The House Up in the Hills

Very cool place up in Hollywood Hills. Lots of space, very clean, and amazing views. Would definitely stay there again.

There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows for our family of five. The inside temperature was very comfortable and the hot tub temp was as well. We loved the view from all rooms, but we especially enjoyed the rooftop. The coffee machine was amazing. We do not have any complaints are are very thankful for such a wonderful experience.

We loved staying here! The property was modern, stylish and had plenty of room for our family. It had amazing views from the balconies and especially from the roof. We were centrally located to all of the great activities, shopping, and restaurants in Hollywood. If you are looking for a place to stay to truly get the LA experience, look no further!

This experience was amazing. The host had generous hospitality by showing us around at first and ensuring our comfortability. The house itself was beautiful with fashionable furniture, luxurious beds, and a stellar view of LA. Other bonuses included multiple decks, coffee maker, and hot tub.

I was so excited to come to this house on my recent visit to LA. The reviews were stellar and the house looked dramatic and glamorous. Here’s what I learned upon arrival that I think future renters should know. This is not a 4-bedroom house as indicated with one bedroom offering a king bed, and the other three offering queen beds. Instead, it is a 3-bedroom house, with the fourth “bedroom” doubling as a “lounge” and the only place for a group to convene (unless you count sitting at a dining table on the main level.) It is filled with a cluster of sofas pushed together that can serve as a makeshift bed. When I expressed disappointment with the accommodations, the owner said that there was a blow-up mattress we could use. Incidentally. that lounge/bedroom is 28 steep stairs down from the main level. Also, would have been cool to know this as I was traveling with my family, including my 88-year-old mother, who struggled to navigate the stairs the entire time. The owner knew that I was traveling with an elderly person as I told her so in my introductory email. Still, because we were in town for a wedding and on a tight schedule, we did not have time to switch accommodations, so stayed. Another fun fact, the bedroom level is 14 steep and turning stairs down from the main level. Again, for the able bodied, a pain. For anyone with mobility issues, it is dangerous.

An unusual and brilliantly created space— lots of charm and very well-equipped for adults. We didn’t have ideal weather but still enjoyed the Hollywood location, views, and the rooftop deck. The host was right to have someone at the home to greet us— it really is better than the images and unlike any other home in our experience. A small note about cleanliness: we came at the holidays and the floors and some surfaces could have been cleaner. Overall a great stay!

We had a great visit! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cooking utensils...enough to host a Thanksgiving dinner. It's a beautiful house with lovely outdoor areas!

Beautiful place in the Hills! Great location and close to so many things to do. Beds were great--we slept so well our 3 nights here. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. Kelly was super inviting and responsive.

The host communications were excellent. Kelly met us when we checked in to show us the entire house.All rooms were nicely furnished and everything worked great.The view is wonderful!

Wonderful home close to everything Hollywood has to offer! The owner Kelly was very nice and was on site for check in to give us the tour. Fully stocked kitchen and the cappuccino maker was a huge bonus! The hot tub was relaxing after long days of walking and exploring! The amazing views of Los Angeles cant be beat. Well be back!

The quality of mattresses, towels, shower heads, and kitchen appliances were great. The views are breath-taking. There are many outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy. The kitchen has everything you’d need like spices, tea and sauces. AC and WiFi worked great too.What we were most impressed with was the tasteful decoration of this house. We had a wonderful stay in the Hollywood Hills! The home was perfect for our family — beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and exactly as described. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, which made meals easy and enjoyable. Our host was welcoming, gave clear instructions, and was quick to respond whenever we had a question. We had an amazing time at the “house up on the hills.” The property was in great condition and easily housed a family of 5. The hosts were very attentive with communications leading up to the trip and extremely helpful during our arrival. I would highly recommend renting the property and would certainly stay again the next time we’re in LA.

We stayed at The House Up in the Hills for three nights for a short vacation to Los Angeles. The house was great, location was great, and Kelly (the owner) was great. We hope to be back someday!

Great Hollywood location. Was slightly tricky to find but called owner and they helped get me there. House is well stocked with everything we needed. Host was there when we arrived to show us the house.

Perfect spot for a group of 50-something girlfriends who want to have a high quality catch up and an upscale experience. Kelly’s place is beautifully located and she thinks of everything when it comes to guest experience. I asked her about a yoga mat and she got one for me. Loved staying at Kelly’s house! It was the PERFECT place for a rejuvenating girls weekend seeing shows at the Hollywood Bowl. We hiked Runyon Canyon, ate at Yamashiro’s and easily walked to shows at the Bowl. The space was spacious, hot tub was great, and kitchen is very well equipped. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at this house. Very clean, all the appliances you could want. The views of LA are fantastic. It is literally 5 minutes drive from Universal Studios Hollywood. Kelly, the host, was lovely. I can definitely recommend staying here.

Loved the location. Convenient for everything we wanted to do. And the house is a wonderful showcase.

The host was very responsive when we voiced concern about lack of cleanliness and the extreme/strong fragrant scents throughout the house. She came by the next day to assist in these concerns. Tips: if you’re sensitive to scented everything, be aware. If you’re used to a vrbo that matches the photos and is a clean slate for each guest, this is not that. Lastly, there are a lot of stairs. On a positive note, it’s a great location and eclectically fun.

This home was perfect for our group. Close to great restaurants and activities. The home was clean and very well equipped. Kitchen was well stocked with seasonings and condiments. Hot tub was a perfect 104 degrees. Would recommend this home to anyone who want to experience a lovely home in West Hollywood.

Wow! This house is incredible!This house truly exceeded our expectations. Every room is spacious and boasts its own private bathroom, which was a huge plus for our group. The kitchen is a chef's dream, fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and ample counter space.But the real highlight was the amazing deck. The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a long day exploring Los Angeles. The location was unbeatable – we were within easy reach of all the major attractions and felt perfectly situated to get around the city.We highly recommend this house to anyone visiting Los Angeles. It's perfect for families, groups of friends, or anyone who appreciates comfort and luxury.

Great house. Beautifully appointed. Perfect location. A smaller car is recommended as garage/ driveway small and roads narrow. Kelly, our host, was wonderful. She personally met us at the house and walked us thru. It was right when the fires started, so I pray everything is alright. Love LA!!!

So many reviews already sum up our experience - fantastic location in the Hollywood Hills with awesome hosts! We were fortunate to have been able to spend 4 nights in their amazing home. Kelly and G welcomed us on arrival, and we immediately felt at home! Perfect location as launching point for our LA visit. Easy walk to/from the Hollywood Bowl for those so inclined, as well as other points of interest in the area. Stress-free parking in the garage, the amazing Miele espresso machine, very comfortable bedrooms are just a few of many highlights. Thanks Kelly and G! We had such an amazing time, and cannot wait to return!!

Very exceptional upscale pad when in Hollywood. Large separate rooms up in hills looking over LA. Easy walking to so much. Roof top deck and jacuzzi Hot Tub. You Deserve THIS!!

We loved our stay! An amazing house with great views, convenient location, and LA vibes. The house was clean and cozy with awesome decor and really elevated our LA trip and experience. Kelly and G are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We already miss it and will definitely be back to stay again. Highly recommend!

This was the final leg of our California stay and I think we saved the best house until last. The house was spotless, fabulously equipped with the loveliest of owners. The beds were comfy and the showers were hot! There was nothing lacking at all. A huge bonus was an easy 15 mins walk to the Hollywood Bowl which made for a lovely concert with no transport logistics. Can recommend 1000%

We had a wonderful time in the hills! My family and our close friends (4 adults and 4 kids (9yo and younger) had an awesome trip. There was plenty of room for all of us. The views are amazing. And the location was perfect for trips to Universal, Malibu, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, etc. We walked up the hill and had perfect views of the Hollywood sign. We loved our stay!

The hosts were amazing, taking the time to welcome us and show us around. The home was beautiful with incredible views A must stay - we will be back.
