Stayed Apr 20, 2024This is a beautiful apartment and property! The views will knock you out and the place feels so beautifully historic with a gorgeous glamorous rustic design. We loved the animals that the owner had and even let them in for a visit. Someone else mentioned to bring slippers because the floor is cold and I didn't remember but do bring slippers. - It is a little bit of a drive to the town of Assisi but WOW! what a beautiful drive..In any case, we couldn't have enjoyed the place more, we hope to return next year with the other half of our family.

Stayed Nov 22, 2023Turning left at the directional sign for Paradiso was an accurate description of the destination of Marcia’s beautiful property. Seven km up a winding road past Assisi which locals call “the city” sit two villas from the 17th century, a small swimming pool, horses in the summer and 20 hectare of Umbrian heaven. Marcia, the owner was warm, welcoming and very responsive, offering us fresh eggs, herbs and greens from her garden. Marcia even brokered some wild boar from a neighboring cacciatore, when a local market came up empty handed. Needless to say, we cooked up a Thanksgiving ragu di cinghiale for the record books. Though we were there in autumn and even caught some snowfall, the beautiful view and tranquil location would make this an ideal summer home. The simple rustic aesthetic of Umbria is carried through to the inside of the villa, it was truly a joy and we can’t wait to come back.

Stayed Jun 3, 2023What a gorgeous place Marzia and Vlasi have got here. And what lovely people they are! When we arrived we got a warm welcome by Marzia, the dog and the three cats. Every morning we woke up to an incredible view over the entire valley, we got fresh vegetables from their garden and eggs from their chickens. Heads up, the road leading up to the house required some driving skills and yes a car is basically mandatory if you stay here. Would recommend to anyone, 10/10.
