The Home Resort - Heated Pool and Tennis Court

We had two full days to enjoy our time at the property. The main reason for renting it was access to the pool and tennis court, as we planned to spend most of our stay by the pool after several days at the beach at another property.Upon arrival, we wound back the pool cover and discovered that the plastic underlay showed clear signs of deterioration. The TV in the main living area was not functioning correctly, the Wi-Fi details were not initially available, and there were no amenities provided for use of the tennis court (such as tennis racquets and balls).Plastic fragments and particles of varying sizes from the deteriorating underlay were visible throughout the pool. I spent approximately 20 minutes cleaning the pool, only to find additional fragments at the bottom, not just on the surface. I did not feel comfortable allowing my family, particularly my daughters, to use the pool due to the risk of ingesting plastic.I was advised that someone would attend the property the following day to investigate and address the issues raised. However, given our limited time and the likelihood that the pool issue would not be resolved promptly in my opinion, we made the decision to depart early.We ultimately stayed at the Ramada Resort, where we were able to enjoy our remaining days.We will never be back to the Home Resort

House was excellent, lots of rooms, clean and close to the beach. Tennis court and pool were awesome!

The house was lovely with great facilities but required some attention with some things broken eg basketball hoop, shoe rack at the front door, chair near bbq ripped and no proper bbq tools and not all of the lights working on the tennis courts. Apart from these things we all had a great weekend in this house!

We loved the open spaces of the back yard and the tennis court. The pool was excellent for the younger kids. The house is modern and well maintained and very functional. Comfortable beds and space to get some quiet time was welcome. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need for cooking and we did a full Christmas lunch there. Big and little kids loved the games room and the seperate TV room. A problem with the door locks was quickly resolved by the Manager. It was so good we gave booked it for the same time next year.

If anyone is planning to head up to Nelson bay for the weekend this property is a must to rent.Great space throughout the whole property to do some activities you’ll never be short of doing anything.

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, the sink did not work and I had informed the company which managed my booking. They told me it shouldn’t be an issue and it wasn’t our fault. However, when it was time for my bond to return. i had been charged extra amount for the sinks repair. I had to do several calls to get my money back. The man i spoke to on the phone was not helpful and was adamant on not returning my money.Other than that, the property was good and had nice facilities such as a pool and tennis court.

This is a beautiful house with immaculate yard perfect for children to run and play, the heated pool was the best part for us.. We will definitely be back
