Stayed Mar 18, 2026Overall very clean lovely space. Used contacts left on master bedroom bedside table, house 1. Outdoor rusted wires, gardening wire along, lawn sheers left on ground near play area. 1/2 patio balcony stairway dismantled with nails protruding, sitting between pickle ball and horseshoe play area. One 2x4x6ish board nailed across top of balcony stairway exit of house 2, to prevent children accessing partial stairway. Kids bunk bed sleeping space is on the 2nd fl., house 2 with missing stairs. No high level door lock to prevent access to balcony of missing 1/2 staircase to 1st fl. Pool & hot tub didn’t work initially nor consistently. Hot tub never got hot. Disappointing for all especially kids. Primary appeal of rental was for heated swimming pool & hot tub. Efforts were made almost daily by host to repair pool & hot tub water heaters. No extra pool heat fees were applied & dogs were accommodated w/fees waived.

Stayed Mar 13, 2026We love The Highland!! My wife and I had our micro wedding here and it was perfect. Each of our families stayed in a house and we stayed in the Modern Cabin. Robin was wonderful and very communicative leading up to the weekend and was so helpful when questions popped up during it. The property was beautiful and our families loved how many activities there were to do.

Stayed May 3, 2025Really loved this place for our after prom party. We had 20, 18 year olds that were kept busy our whole stay. From the pool, to pickle ball court and the volleyball court, there was never a dull moment. Robin was a great host too. He made sure we had everything we needed for our stay to be as comfortable as possible.

Stayed Mar 9, 2023I was so pleasantly surprised with the property. It’s HUGE, scenic, beautiful and the houses are newly renovated. The owner was extremely helpful and reachable via text to the hot tub on (many times) and even drove to the end of the driveway to pick up an Amazon package. Can’t recommend this place more!

Stayed Jul 14, 2022We really enjoyed our stay here! The property is gorgeous and huge. The pool was awesome and there was even a slip n slide! Robin was really responsive and when we had a Covid scare a week before the reservation, he was willing to work with us on rescheduling. We were able to keep our original dates but it was awesome he was willing to be flexible, most hosts would not have been!

Stayed Jun 5, 2022Robin and The Highland were perfect for our family vacation. The homes were gorgeous and fully stocked. Robin was so attentive and the initial tour of the property was perfect. If you are looking for a gorgeous property in the Texas Hill country with comfy beds, beautiful views and space to just gather and hang out then this is the place.

Stayed Jun 20, 2022Robin was an excellent and generous host! We had our resident department retreat here, and everyone loved it. There was so much room to break off into whatever activity you wanted to do. Everyone had a place to sleep; Robin also had extra air mattresses when needed. I believe we will likely return next year if possible.
