Communication prior to our arrival, and during our stay with Amy was top notch. Check in was very easy. The property was exactly as described. Attention to detail for any anticipated needs of guests, such as plenty of coffee pods. Lots of information regarding the historical home, to include the decor and a binder with helpful information regarding old town. The 3 bedrooms were well decorated, and the sheets and towels were quality. Utilized the washer and dryer, we stayed mid July, so it was nice to freshen up our clothes. Did not have an opportunity to use the back porch, just too hot. It looked lovely, well maintained. The location was ideal, one block from the Potomac and plenty of restaurants and shopping. Did use the parking pass, and did not have any issues finding a spot in front, or near the home.

The house was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in an old historic house but updated in every aspect to modern conveniences. We were in awe! Amy’s ability to take care of every need and detail was amazing. We had a few questions and she answered them quickly. Loved being in a cove where it was quiet and off the Main Street. The only issue is if you have a car there are no assigned parking spots for it. The city owns rights to the parking in there. On Friday and Saturday nights if you bring your car and have a good parking spot, I would not move until the next day.

Our family stayed at the House during my son's graduation from GWU in May and it was very helpful and a lovely location. Easy to drive into the city, however, we often took an Uber in to address on site parking issues in town. Plenty of space in luxurious home and all the amenities to make it feel like home. The Host, Amy, couldn't have been more accomodating - it was wonderful. I will say that while it comes with parking pass, trying to secure parking is very difficult - it is just the nature of the area. But the proximity to everything compensates for it - just get a space and leave your vehicle parked. Loved the park down the street, the patio with grill was extra helpful and the washer/dryer helped me to maintain some order as my daughter and son flew in directly from their universities and needed a little extra TLC. Amazing comfort and charm in such a lovely DC suburb - perfect for a couple, or family or whatever brings you to DC.

This property was perfect for a reunion with my three friends. Perfect location within a few blocks of the river and a short walk to King’s Street. The historic townhouse is updated and beautifully decorated. Also the owner is very accessible if you have questions. My friends and I decided to return next year.

The house is beautifully appointed and it was so neat to stay in something so old! Amy was incredibly helpful and kind. The beds are SO comfortable! We were close enough to walk to lots of places and it was really easy to grab and Uber into DC. I felt very appreciated as a guest and would gladly stay here again!

We enjoyed every single detail of this stunning property. It’s beautiful inside and out! The details and amenities (every single kitchen item you could imagine) were above and beyond. The location is quiet, safe & incredibly close to all of the fun venues that Old Town has to offer. Amy was attentive, prompt and helpful! Will absolutely stay again, 10/10 recommend!

My husband and I were in Alexandria for several family celebrations. The location of the house could not have been more perfect for most of the family gatherings that were 2 to 6 blocks away. Added to this convenience was the house's proximity to King Street (Old Town's version of Main Street), restaurants, the Potomac River and Windmill Hill Park. The house has all modern amenities and a comfortable decor. We particularly enjoyed the beautifully landscaped patio. There is a scattering of historic memorabilia thru out the house that is not only entertaining (our visiting granddaughters loved the foot warmer and the voting ballot box) but informative. Finally, our host was not only hospitable but ready in minutes to answer texts (even on the weekend). I recommend this house and hope that future renters have as many happy memories there as my family did.
