Love the hares our second stay of 2 weeks within 4 months and we only live 19 miles away which says it all. Our second stay started with a few issues but Norfolk Hideaways were super speedy sorting it out we cant fault them as a company. As soon as new dates come free we will be rebooking. Few little niggles I have is this is the only property I have ever stayed in which doesnt even leave you a pint of milk. It should supply fuel for first fire but doesnt either which would be nice as we stayed nov and feb second hol we came with supplies. But its a lovely location nice neighbours fab birds in the garden but if im being honest wouldnt say its totally enclosed for a big dog they could jump over the back railing into the cemetary. The water is hot heating is good conservatory could benefit a comfy seat the wicker is very hard and conservatory door sticks to extreme. But these are little things we love the hares just offering constructive critism because theres nothing bad to say about it really of course close to loads of beaches and coastal pubs and lovely norfolk villages. I believe it is closing for a refurb cant wait for it to be finished to go back. Already have recommended it.

Had a lovely time at The Hares. Very warm, well equipped and quiet. Don't overlook this property for a more 'traditional' cottage as it's wonderful value for money and makes for a great holiday base. Thank you so much.

Excellent parking. We arrived just after four so nearly dark. Step up to the gate with no light so my husband tripped. No injuries. There is a light by the gate but you have to switch it on inside. Not working! No heating on at all so freezing cold and no bits available to light the fire. Otherwise once we had sorted out the heating it was ok. Nicely decorated and well presented, just a little lacking in character. Very good for the dogs.

Suggest improvements, the mattresses on the bed not comfortable, the twin beds in particular, could feel the springs. The curtains in the bedrooms need to have black out fabric, as letting in the light, not helpful for a good nights sleep. Reduce the amount of pottery in the kitchen, though good to have plenty plates etc, declutter of some of dishes plates would make it easier to get plates out of the cupboards

The property is of a good size and in a good location but badly needs updating. The worst area being the conservatory which is falling apart with rotting woodwork and paint falling off. The sills were black mould and had numerous dead flies on them. First impressions are important and due to being asked to use the back door the conservatory in a poor state of repair is the first thing you see. The main drive upto the house is very poor and definitely not suitable for anyone with poor mobility. The oven was not clean and the washing machine had thick black mould on the rubber door seals. The lounge was of a good size (although there was bird droppings on the fire guard and heart) as was the main bedroom. Linen was of good quality as were the towels. After a call to the booking agent the owner did agree to a cleaner coming back in to clean the conservatory and oven and this was much appreciated. I think one thing lacking with the booking agent is the lack of star rating. I did offer that a representative from their company came to look at the property but this offer was not taken up. I would not use this booking agent again.

A very tired cottage in an ideal situation. Cooker dirty, cloakroom a disgrace( pipes held together with masking tape) washing machine seal covered in black mould hence unusable, conservatory windows and door a mass of rotting timber. All the wooden furniture in desperate need of replacing, looks as though they were picked up at a car boot sale. I spent some considerable time removing limescale from the sink, washhand basin, bath and toilet. A very disappointing place.

We have stayed in Brancaster at other Norfolk Hideaways properties but never at this particular bungalow. We are somewhat limited to which accommodation we can choose due to having a dog but this was superb. The property was very clean and spacious. Kitchen very well equipped should you wish to stay in and cook, beds comfortable and good sized seating in the living room. The garden was a very good size and fully enclosed for ease of mind when dog mooching about. The area was extremely quiet and close to the main north Norfolk road. Brancaster Staithe a mile further on with small shop and Hunstanton only around 15 minutes drive for bigger supermarket. Absolutely loved it here and will definitely stay again.

The Hares is situated in a very quiet cul-de-sac with parking available on the driveway. The accommodation is spacious and well laid out, with a large enclosed garden at the back, great for dogs! The bungalow contained all we needed for an enjoyable stay, and it was lovely to be able to leave the car and walk to the marshes/beach/pub. Would definitely use again.

Excellent location. Very quiet. Cosy layout with a lovely garden. Added plus of having a small garden room if it were to rain!
