The location of the house is perfect. Waking up and seeing the ocean is so relaxing. We went down for Mardi Gras weekend. We enjoyed the strand parades then walked to the parade on the seawall. The fire pit in the front was nice to sit by at night. House was clean, beds were comfortable.

The place was pretty amazing and my family truly enjoyed the experience. The location was amazing, the furnishings were amazing, the only thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars is due to the security issues with the doors. Not being able to lock the doors top lock for the upstairs was super unsafe and the room downstairs was awesome as well except that pad lock idea is a terrible idea. If the doors were able to be secured better, this would've made this experience better but overall it was still a great place to stay and I'd defintely recommend this place to people.

Positives: the home was cute and had character with a great location close to the beach. Cons: parking is tight because the neighbors or Saltgrass staff park directly in front of the house only leaving the narrow driveway to park. At arrival, When we first inspected the home as we checked in, we located the “4th” bedroom and the bed was broken and not sleep-able. Additionally, The 4th room was in a converted garage room in a “apartment” that you could only be accessed by going outside of the main home. The bunk room, which we knew was tiny, appears to be a converted hallway or closet. The beds were insanely small and the head space from the bottom to the top bunk was dangerously close. The room with the king bed, had the hardest mattress I have ever felt. The kitchen, did not have any dish towels for us to be able to wash and dry dishes which was necessary considering there was no dishwasher. In the garage there was an active plumbing leak from the toilets directly above. The ping pong table advertised was completely trashed and broken due to the moister in the garage. In reality, the home was a two bedroom with a damp and drab garage apartment. The main home was cute and had some charm but it definitely did not meet the expectations and with the condition of the garage apartment, I had to sleep on the couch so that my daughter could sleep in a bed. It was not a great experience to say the least.

House was set up and ready to go when we arrived. Slight issue getting access to house, called contact number and got immediate answer that code was to a lock box not the digital lock on door. After that all was well. 7 of us stayed during the lonestar rally, plenty of room and we were outside on the patio and near fire pit for most of our stay. Parking was great for motorcycles in driveway at night and two additional passes for on street parking were available for vehicle. House was clean. Lower level, like most Galveston garage type areas had a bit of musty smell, upstairs level was fresh. Hot tub appeared clean although we did not get the chance to enjoy that during our stay. Would stay again!

Loved the home. Very well kept. The outdoor spaces were amazing and we were across the street from the beach. The downstairs game room is not air-conditioned, but was nice in the evenings if we opened the doors and let the breeze in. Overall, very family-friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay! The decor of the house is so cute and the beds were very comfortable. The location cannot be beat as it is just barely off the seawall, and close to a crosswalk so you can cross safely. We really appreciated the availability of the wagon, umbrella, and sand toys. The hot tub and game room were also greatly enjoyed. The kitchen had everything we needed for all meals at home and it was nice that there was laundry detergent provided (even though I decided to let laundry be an ‘at home problem’. There was a slight musty smell in the downstairs bedroom (but that’s to be expected in a place that has flooded and expects to flood again) that improved with air circulation from the fan and AC. The key situation is a bit frustrating and the ‘keyless entry’ isn’t keyless at all but once we finally got in the house everything was great (a few key labels would go a long way!). I used to live in Galveston and know how hard pest control can be, so I really appreciated the obvious effort that must go in to keeping this home almost entirely bug free (only saw two in the unfinished game room over three days, none in the climate controlled areas of the home or even outside after dark). Overall excellent stay and would happily return!
