Our guests are welcome to enjoy the entire cottage and backyard. There are two parking spots available in the driveway and two available from the back alley entrance that you can access behind the house.
The Funky Swan Shack is incredible!!! It is so cute and well decorated. They go above and beyond with things you may need---coffee, towels, garbage bags, detergent, etc. you made need. You feel welcome the second you walk in the door. The house has a great backyard and is in a super safe neighborhood. We walked all over the place including restaurants in town. We were there visiting my daughter at Florida Southern and it was an easy walk from her dorm. It is PERFECT. We will be staying there again for sure. Also, the hosts communicated well and were available to help with anything. We didn't need them but it was nice to know they were available.
It is a lovely cottage. We are 3 upper 70 ish ladies and it was great overall. Loved the lake and the birds! Only negative is the living room furniture. Cute but highly uncomfortable to spend an evening. ! Thanks
My family and I stayed three nights at this lovely home so we could attend our daughter's graduation from FSC. We loved everything about this home, from the location to the beautiful trees surrounding the home, and to the great customer service from our host Austin. There is ample parking in the front and rear of the home for about four cars if needed. We would definitely stay here again when visiting historic downtown Lakeland.
We enjoyed being able to walk to Lake Morton, a nearby coffee shop and library, the fish stand, and being in a family friendly neighborhood. The house was comfortable for everyone.
It was really a lovely, clean, convenient place for us to stay. My one complaint is the bed in the master suite. It is impossibly soft, uncomfortable, squeaky and desperately sags in the middle. Replace that bed and you've got 5 stars, hands down.
We had the best time at The Funky Swan Shack! This was the cleanest rental I have stayed at! The owners have done a fantastic with the decor and the details don’t go unnoticed. Such a great place!
We love staying at this property! It was highly themed, which made it very fun and inviting and feel like home. It was more roomy than we thought, and gave us easy access to all of Lakeland, Orlando, and Tampa!
My friend and I came to Lakeland for the end of year pack up for our kids at SEU. This house was adorable, the perfect size and perfect location! We were comfortable, had all the amenities and enjoyed our 3 night stay! I would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Funky Swan! It had just what we needed for our time in Lakeland. We loved walking to Lake Morton and grabbing a bite to eat at Black and Brew. Everything was clean and comfortable.
The property did not disappoint based on the description and pictures. From the entrance all the way through it was spotless and in excellent condition. There has been a tremendous amount of thought and detail taken on this property to make this not just a beautiful little gallery, like, house reminiscent of a mix of Lakeland, Austin, Savannah and Asheville. but most comfortable, functional and charming. It is an excellent place for a short or long stay as it has a very nicely equipped kitchen. We used the ac/ heater and it works well. Totally enjoyed the location close to walk to two restaurants, little essentials store, Polk Museum of Art and beautiful Lake Morton. A a little further, wonderful walk to the Frank Lloyd Wright Gift Shop Geico. From there one can continue through to the beautiful Florida Southern College campus and continue on to the wonderful path along Lake Hollingsworth. Parking is excellent. It is close to downtown and many other stores but if was so nice in the house and the walking didn't do much driving. The hosts were especially very accessible, responsive, generous and kind. Enjoyed the comfortable furniture decor and rainbow themes!
