THE ONE THING YOU SHOULDN’T MISS

Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive – Stockyards National Historic District

If you’re visiting Fort Worth for the first time, this is one experience you shouldn’t miss. Twice each day, real Texas longhorn cattle are driven down East Exchange Avenue in the historic Stockyards, recreating the cattle drives that helped build Fort Worth’s western heritage.

Cattle Drive Times:
• Daily at 11:30 AM
• Daily at 4:00 PM

The cattle drive is free to watch and is one of the most photographed and recognizable attractions in Fort Worth. We recommend arriving early, exploring the Stockyards, shopping the local stores, and enjoying a meal nearby.

OUR FAVORITE LOCAL RESTAURANTS

Joe T. Garcia’s

A Fort Worth institution and one of the city’s most iconic restaurants. While the food is great, the real attraction is the incredible outdoor garden patio. If weather permits, we strongly recommend requesting outdoor seating. The patio experience is what has made Joe T.’s a Fort Worth destination for generations.

Risky’s Bar-B-Q (Stockyards Location)

One of our favorite Texas barbecue spots and a must-visit when we’re in the Stockyards. Risky’s is famous for its all-you-can-eat beef ribs and classic Texas barbecue. While there are multiple locations, our favorite is the Stockyards location because it combines great food with the authentic Fort Worth Stockyards atmosphere.

Texas de Brazil

Located in Downtown Fort Worth, this Brazilian steakhouse offers an unforgettable dining experience featuring endless tableside-served meats and an extensive gourmet salad bar.

Babe’s Chicken Dinner House
