The Flat Coat Cottage: Downtown Southern Pines

Perfect for our family of four. Both kids had their own room and bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living room area was spacious. Located on a quiet road but only one - two blocks from the main Southern Pines commercial area.

The location was fantastic and the house was beautiful. Very well appointed. Very comfortable.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Their property was warm, inviting and clean! We celebrated a post Thanksgiving dinner with our son and another soldier stationed at Ft Bragg. Great house in a very convenient location. The owners communicated very well and were helpful. We will likely rent this property again.

Initially we were disappointed, and should have investigated further in advance, as there were no TVs in the bedrooms. Business decision, I understand. Then we could not figure out how to use the living room smart TV to watch the World Series, so we missed it. We understood from prior communications that the kitchen had a Keurig coffee maker so we brought our own K cups. There was no Keurig and when we notified you, no one made an effort to get one for us. Pest control is a pain to keep up with but again we didn't expect to find and kill two roaches, one in the kitchen and one in the downstairs bedroom. The home would benefit from additional window coverings . . . it was uncomfortable to not have them at night.

We had a wonderful stay!! This house is adorable and had plenty of space for friends to spend a weekend together. Perfect location! You could walk to everything in downtown.

This home is charming, clean and very comfortable. The beds were so comfortable too! We enjoyed the short walk into town and the walking trails nearby.

The house was perfect for our stay. We hope to book again in the future!

We had a wonderful 18 day stay at Flat Coat Cottage. The house is a perfect size, actually feels larger than the pictures make it look. The house was welcoming and well stocked for our arrival. We loved being able to walk into Southern Pines and enjoy all the restaurants and stores. The location was also close to so many other local amenities including numerous parks. We highly recommend this property and plan to visit again.

We could not have chosen a better place to stay. The house was perfect in every way and the location to restaurants and the town of Southern Pines was perfect. Sitting on the front porch at night was a true highlight of the trip. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

The Flat Coat Cottage was all it was stated to be. Plenty of room for everyone and a short walk to downtown Southern Pines. We would plan on staying here again

The house was great, very clean.

This house is a lovely and convenient place to stay, especially if you're traveling with your furry family. Its proximity to town makes it easy to walk to and from, and I felt completely safe walking alone. However, it's important to note that the house has limited privacy due to the lack of curtains/blinds/drapes. In fact, the existing drapes are quite sheer, making it feel like a fishbowl. To address this, we had to get creative and hang a towel from the curtain rod in the master bathroom to maintain our privacy from the neighboring homes, which are quite close by (just a one-car driveway away). Additionally, the upstairs bathroom has no window coverings at all. Despite this, the house is still a great option for those who value convenience and a comfortable to stay. One area for improvement in the listing is the lack of clarity on what amenities are provided, making it difficult to know what to bring and what to leave behind. I did reach out to the host for clarification, but unfortunately, the response came too late for me to adjust my packing accordingly as I was 1/2 way to NC from PA. For future reference, the property provides the following essentials: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry pods (3), dishwasher pods (3), garbage bags (3), paper towels (1 roll), and toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom). However, guests should note that they need to bring their own coffee (no Keurig) and kitchen products. The outside garbage needs to be emptied between rentals.

Great property. Nicely updated and has bathrooms for each room which is so nice for privacy of adult groups.
