This was a wonderful place to stay! We had a small problem with the bathroom and the property owner responded quickly to give a solution to the issue. They we so kind and understanding. The only other issues we had was the address does not go directly to the home with Google maps but we found the place fairly quickly. And we had to adjust to using the small oven unit. It is a beautiful home and made a great location for my mom's 65th birthday get away. It's super close to Hocking hills and the town has fun things to with small groups! I would definitely book this house again. Great memories were made.

10 women. 2 rolls of toilet paper. Cobwebs and dead bugs in dining room window. Asked when we’d be there so the alarm system could be disarmed, but it wasn’t. Mystery cookie in window sill of bedroom. Listing should make it aware that all bedrooms & the 1 bathroom are on the 2nd floor. My 92 year old mom & my sister that has suffered a stroke had to use a camping toilet & sleep on the couches. Should also give warning about the drive over the railroad tracks! Very scary!

The house itself was incredible. It has such a Victorian vibe (without the ghosts unfortunately) We had our whole family with us and it slept all 10 of us very comfortably. By comfortably I mean verrrry comfortably, the beds were great, and every room has it's own style and personality. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the stove is the coolest! I want one in my house! We were easily able to feed all 10 people. (Thank god for the dishwasher.) The magnum opus, the back deck, was AMAZING! We all enjoyed the hot tub, but honestly, the back deck is the perfect gathering hub even without it. The kids loved the jumbo Jenga, and we loved the peace and quiet after dark. Check in was a breeze, and we were able to get everyone in and settled stress free, which is the best when you're looking for a restful getaway. All in all, 10/10 stay, we will definitely be returning for a mini vacation in the foothills!

Absolutely beautiful house full of history. Jeff and Sherri were fantastic and we had the pleasure of meeting Jeff at checkout and he was very nice. All of the amenities worked great and we felt like we were staying in our very own little inn. Would absolutely stay here again.

Here are the unexpected things I wish I knew before booking: - Master Nook has one full-sized bed, not two twins as the listing claims. - No AC in the room with the patio, and no screen for the patio door if you’d like to leave it open. - Visible mold growing on the blinds covering the AC unit in the bedroom with two queens. Another time, one of us turned off a downstairs AC unit because they were coughing and suspected mold in the unit. The units do appear to need cleaning. - The photos make the rooms appear to be brightly lit when really, they were much darker. - It looks difficult to access the river from the yard (just an FYI) - The boards underneath one of the queen mattresses were cracked, so the mattress caved. - One of the back porch string lights was broken but the filament was still attached & it appeared to be an electrical hazard. Host communication was prompt; prior to our stay, she let us know that a new hot tub was ordered because the tub stopped going past 86 degrees. I appreciated the notice and we still enjoyed that, along with the spacious porches. I really wanted to enjoy our stay and the hosts seem very nice but I’m sorry to say the unexpected issues we encountered eclipsed the charm of this older home for me.

Nice area. The pictures do not do this beautiful house justice. Kids loved reading about the house. Perfect for our family vacation and close to Hocking Hills for hiking. Thank you for sharing this beauty with us!
