We very much enjoyed our stay, Missy and Steve are very warm hosts, and the farm is gorgeous! We made friends with Jeff the turkey, and you can't beat that. We will be returning for sure!
This is our 2nd time staying at Steve and Missy's lovely home in Tunbridge, VT. We are a group of horsewomen and were in town to attend the VT Morgan Heritage Days Horse Show...just minutes away. We rented the Duck Coop (very nice private room with beautiful fully-tiled bath) and the nicely appointed 4 bedroom suite upstairs...perfect for the group of us! We had a cookout on the porch one night and enjoyed the mountain vista and the farm animals grazing nearby....so relaxing after a busy day at the show! Thanks Missy and Steve for being such gracious hosts and opening your home to us! We'll be back!
I was traveling with my teen child (just the two of us). This is a cozy bedroom/bath in a large house with shared living space. The room doesn’t have space for a roll-away bed, and there are no black out curtains. Neither of these are a problem, if you’re prepared to share a bed and wear a sleeping mask (a white noise machine was provided). Be aware that the way the suite is configured there is little privacy in the enormous bathroom, so it helps to be comfortable using the toilet and showering out in the open around your suite-mate since within the bathroom there are no curtains or doors (the aforementioned teen and I worked it out!). That being said, the view from the shower is lovely and the bathroom is huge! There was a generous juice/coffee/pastry breakfast provided. The house is on a working farm (animal sanctuary), so be prepared for barking dogs, fields of fuzzy sheep, and adorable cows. During mud season, I would recommend an SUV, though our rental car was able to handle the driveway fine. Great little place to land for the night. I would recommend it!
What a great spot tucked away in this beautiful little valley. The hosts, Missy & Steve, were wonderful. Gave a tour of the property & animals upon arrival (as we were hoping!) We had a cute little room with access to an unbelievable kitchen. What a spot. I look forward to the camping options this summer!
Missy and Steve are wonderful hosts and there property is so nice! They offered us warm pastries and coffee in the morning and the accommodations were excellent! The shower pressure is amazing (which can be hard to find) and they think of everything and then some!
