The Crestwood House - Family Friendly Retreat with Private Backyard - DCA

We loved staying at the Crestwood House. It was like home away from home. Quiet location close to downtown, metro and easy access to DC. The host was wonderful and available with any questions we had. The home was stocked with all the essentials. We had a lovely stay. We would come again!

Beautiful home- exactly as advertised. It was perfect for our family of 6. We explored Alexandria and DC over the Easter weekend. Perfect all around !

Our stay at the Crestwood house was fabulous. The house was fully stocked, super updated, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for our family to travel around DC and close up everything. All the bedding was super comfortable and high end. We have stayed in many high end rentals and this house is now at the to of our list. We would definitely rent again and grateful for Erin’s amazing hospitality!

Absolutely PERFECT!!!!! That’s the best way to sum up everything about the Crestwood House. Our family stayed here in mid October as we honored my Dad at Arlington National Cemetery. We had family members ranging from 86 to 2yrs old and everyone was beyond comfortable! We were amazed by all of the thoughtful details- the playroom, outdoor space for adults and the children, bathroom amenities, comfortable bedrooms, workspaces, kitchen amenities (the little things like stocking items for the coffee lovers). This location could not have been better. We were close to the places we needed and wanted to be. The ONLY bad thing was our trip had to end. We all wanted to live here forever. Erin is an amazing host! We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

A wonderful vacation home experience in Alexandria!Our group consisted of 4 siblings and their spouses in the 55 age range. Definitely a discriminating bunch when it comes to knowing what they like and dislike. I gave them ample opportunities throughout the stay to let me know what needed improvement, negatives, etc., (and believe me these folks have opinions about everything). Nobody would offer our hostess and this property less than 5 stars. The home is designed for comfort, low maintenance, and a sense of family.My wife has already made a list of things she wants us to duplicate at our house….If we ever come back to Alexandria I already know where I want to stay.

Not much was used due to it being a short stay, but regardless of that it was a beautiful house very well kept and cleaned. It was very well equipped with kitchen/bathroom and even bedroom essentials and other gadgets. The property manager is very responsive and very friendly!!

Beautiful home just waiting for a family to have a relaxed, wonderful time while feeling at home here. Location is amazing, close to Old Town Arlington and all the sites in DC. We loved it and will stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was beautiful, spotless, and so welcoming. The host was wonderful and always helpful with any questions we had. It was the perfect place for our family to gather and make special memories. My little one especially enjoyed the playroom. Truly a 5-star experience and I highly recommend!

The location of the property was perfect, as it was a 10min drive to the train. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. The house was IMMACULATE and stocked well with essentials! Erin was a great host, all communication with her was pleasant and friendly.

The location was ideal, offering easy access to all the major sights in Washington, DC, and just minutes away from charming Old Town Alexandria. We enjoyed some fantastic meals there and loved simply walking around and taking in the historic atmosphere.Erin, the host, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. She provided great local tips and made the check-in process seamless. This home truly felt like a retreat for our family, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Erin’s property in Alexandria was absolutely perfect. We were meeting with family to celebrate our delayed Christmas. This home had all the conveniences of home! We cooked, played, entertained etc. There was tons of space for everyone to spread out. The master bed was very comfortable and spacious. Neighborhood was safe. Location was great. Close to food stores and restaurants. Very easy to drive into the DC attractions. Looking forward to returning in the future.

This lovely home exceeded our expectations in every way for our family gathering to celebrate our son’s wedding followed by a small luncheon for family and friends. The house is beautifully designed and thoughtfully equipped. An absolutely wonderful home in a quiet beautiful Alexandria neighborhood. Erin was a very welcoming attentive host. Wonderful!!

We absolutely loved Erin's vacation rental. The home is in a quiet residential neighborhood that was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The home is lovely on the inside and outside. The decor is beautiful, the layout is wonderful, and the house is enormous and outfitted with everything you could possibly need. I stayed there with my four children, and we all had more than enough space. Each of my older kids had their own bedrooms, and there were so many living spaces that we didn't use them all! There is a gorgeous basement that would have been perfect for one of my kids to retreat to. There is a playroom, and there is a dining room and a more private living room -- none of which we needed since we were happy to sit in the main great room most of the time! The house was very clean and well decorated. And the location was fantastic. We were close to DC and all the sites (10-12 minutes away), as well as the Northern Virginia suburbs where my extended family lives. My extended family visited us briefly and said they'd recommend this house to other out-of-town guests in the future because it was so beautiful. Thank you, Erin!

This house was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. We were there for a weekend girls’ shopping trip. We really enjoyed staying in in the evenings because the house was so perfect. Coming from someone who stays in rental houses multiple times a year, I can say this was the cleanest, most beautiful house I’ve ever stayed in. We’re thinking of coming back to this area again just so we can stay in this house again!

This beautiful home was the perfect place for our family which included kids and grandparents to make some beautiful core memories over this long weekend before Christmas! It is about a 15 minute drive from National Harbor in Maryland and if you go the other way, about 15 minutes to the Washington monument so it is in an excellent Spot for sightseeing!! my children loved it so much they didn’t want to leave! Thank you so much for helping to be part of one of our core memories!

The Crestwood house was perfect!  The communication from the host was great and the cleanliness and comfort of the home was accurately described and met or exceeded expectations.  There were lots of extras that we really enjoyed like the playroom, basement, and outdoor space.  We would definitely book again.  

My family was so pleased with this house! We were a family of 10 ranging from an 8 year old , 3 teenagers and adults. We were there for a military funeral for my husband. There was plenty of room for everyone to have privacy. The teenage girls loved the basement, it was like their own apartment. The kitchen is stocked very well with serving dishes, spices, coffee, etc. The playroom has so many toys, legos, magnet building blocks, etc. It was very clean. Beds very comfortable. The master suite is awesome with big step in shower. It is furnished very well. I got ideas for storage in the master closet. The host responds quickly and very accommodating. I would only say the ice makers do not work well, yes there are two refrigerators! I would love to stay there again in the future!

We loved this house and will definitely stay here again if we come back to the area and it’s available. Location is great for Reagan Airport, Old Alexandria, Navy Yards and downtown DC. It was very comfortable and our girls weekend was Fabulous!

Had to stay in a VRBO while our home was undergoing remodeling. Place was as advertised - clean, neat and well-stocked. Very responsive host. Would recommend staying here if looking for quiet Alexandria neighborhood. My teens especially loved all the games provided.

From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience. Erin was a pleasure to communicate with through the booking process and our stay. The home is beautiful and exactly as pictured. I booked this home along with my sister’s family, total of 4 adults and 5 children. There was plenty of space for us to enjoy together and separately when needed. The home was equipped with everything for a comfortable stay. The only items we didn’t have were tissues, foil and Saran Wrap. If you plan to cook and/or pack lunches, come prepared. Sandwich ziplock bags and plastic containers were provided. Obviously this was not a big deal, but I just wanted to share in case it helps. There were plenty of linens/bedding/pillows and the beds were comfortable. The master bedroom features a King sleep number bed which was a pleasant surprise. None of the bedrooms have a TV, which my sister did not like as she falls asleep to the TV every night. But again, not a big deal overall. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed family friendly. We saw a lot of people out walking their dogs or jogging. We visited the Zoo, National Mall area and Kings Street in Old Alexandria during our stay. The location was perfect for us! Erin, Thank you for making our summer family vacation a memorable one! Should we return to the DC area, we’d be happy to book with you again!

The property is just wonderful. The curb appeal is amazing. The home is extremely well done. It is decorated with attention to the tiniest of details. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful. There was room for adults, teens, and our 7 year old had plenty to do!

Our family of ten stayed at this fabulous home while in town for a wedding. This home was exactly as described and is open and well laid out. We were even able to bake for the wedding in the fully stocked kitchen. Erin was a terrific host who went out of her way to check in frequently to ensure our stay was everything we expected! The kids room was an extra amenity we didn’t know we wanted but was a great addition to our vacation.

My mom, brother and sister all stayed in the fabulously decorated, comfortable, and spacious home. We were in town to meet up as a family and just relax. This home was the perfect place to do it. The home was exactly as advertised. It was in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We spent many mornings drinking coffee in the backyard. It was close to many eating places and activities. We had a fantastic stay and would love to visit again!
