Nice historic home with modern updates in the heart of Harrisonburg. The hosts were responsive and accommodating and the home was comfortable.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The house was so tastefully and peacefully furnished and decorated, everything was very clean and comfortable, and the location was superb! In addition, Allison and her husband were super friendly and kind! We would definitely stay at The Valley Hearth again!

Lovely, bright and spacious. Easy walk to town. Clean. Beds supremely comfortable and linens great, including an extra large bath towel. Would stay again while visiting or padding through.

The Valley Hearth was a perfect little space for us to meet up with our Duke for a weekend visit! The space was just what we needed, and the location couldn’t be beat! Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. The house was spotless, cozy, and inviting. The container of water in the refrigerator was a nice addition for us to fill up our water bottles as we headed out to explore Harrisonburg. It was really nice to have off street parking for peace of mind as well. We’ll definitely recommend this place to any JMU parents or visitors coming up!

This home is super comfortable and has every amenity. It’s spacious and homey inside and out—the wrap-around porch and patio are fantastic. The neighborhood is quiet and folks are friendly. The location can’t be beat—we easily walked everywhere in Harrisonburg and drove to Shenandoah Natl Park, George Washington Natl Forest, Luray, Staunton & Edinburg for hiking and sight-seeing. Best breakfast: The Little Grill. Best pastry: Magpie. Best ice cream: Kline’s Dairy Bar. The indie book store, Parentheses, has the best book collection I’ve ever seen.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay with my partner for the week leading up to our wedding. The living room was great for hanging out in, the bed was comfortable, and the location was even more convenient than I had realized!

Clean property, very cozy. It is downtown and near everything. Owners are very nice and close-bye if you need something.

This house has the perfect location. You can walk into town and many of the breweries. The house itself is gorgeous! Lots of room to sit and hang out. And the beds/pillows are very comfy. Hands down. This is out favor vrbo in the area!
