The Cass House on the Mulberry River / near OHV Trails

Booked Cass House for SXS trip. This was the perfect location to access trails both east and west of Hwy 23. The house is very nice and clean with modern kitchen good Wi-Fi. Also the property is large no problem getting a 30’ trailer in and out. We will book this house again!

The Cass House is an absolute dream! The home was well-kept, nicely updated but still with a rustic charm and the property was gorgeous! We enjoyed evenings outside near the fire pit and covered patio provided enough coverage for us to watch the storms roll in over the mountains. Given that our group was there to float the Mulberry, the location was perfect as the property has river access. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Historic home that’s been cherished through the generations and well kept. Spectacular location with Mulberry riverfront and close to OHV trails and Spy Rock. My grandfather grew up in this house and though it’s been modernized over the years, there are still plenty of original parts of the home. Take the time to appreciate the original stone fireplace and chimney and walk the grounds along the river bank, where you’ll see the old rock wall. Anyone who comes to this area usually ends up loving it! The Mulberry holds a very special place in our family. Thank you to this family for maintaining the property and sharing it with others!

Great place, great location! It got chilly in the house due to the unusual cold outdoor temps, but the fireplace helped make it cozy and warm. Home was supplied with everything we needed. A very well kept home. The host was awesome and got back to us right away.

It is a super cute older house. The heating system did not work properly nor did the large bath tub.

I don’t even know where to begin,It was so nice and spacious. Washer and dryer T v this house has everything you need. A beautiful big yard,not exactly roughing it for sure. We will definitely be back!!!

Kitchen was fully equipped with what we needed. Everyone seemed to like the beds. I slept on the futon which was not great. There seemed to be problems with the plumbing it was slow or didn't flush at all. The towels had a very musty smell like they stayed wet too long before drying. We cooked out on the grill. It was nice cuz it was hooked up to natural gas. It was drizzling when I cooked out so that kinda sucked. It would be nice if there was a cover over that porch area. And a light for the grill. I had to bring out a table lamp to finish cooking because it got so dark out there. These are all minor incidents and was a perfect location to all of the trails. Byrd's restaurant at the RV Park was very surprisingly delicious. We went there twice and went to their store as well. Overall, it was a great stay. Thanks for the hospitality.

Trails were close by & we had plenty of room for 3 trucks and a trailer. We had everything we needed from garden hose to kitchen tongs. The house was perfect for us! We would stay again.

We had an amazing time and really enjoyed having the river be walking distance from the house.

Great property in a beautiful location. The air conditioning unit in one of the upstairs bedrooms struggled to keep up a but was bearable. Great communication and instructions from the owner. I would definitely stay here again.

This property was everything we'd hoped it was. Fantastic weather, deer in the meadow with coffee on the porch. Our biker side was in awe over the scenic roads. Thanks for opening and hosting your home! Regards, Ray and Janice.

Had a good time

If you're with a smaller group (4-6) and involved with anything Mulberry River, this is a wonderful location. In addition to being about three minutes from Turner Bend (and about one minute from Highway 23, the property has its own river access if you're canoeing or kayaking.The property was squeaky-clean and had plenty of space. It also has three decks, so any time of day was a great time to hang outside. Well-stocked kitchen with any imaginable implement, along with a washer and drier. Excellent location and experience!

Was a great time hanging out at the house and by the river. Short walk and was an amazing view.

Great stay. Only negative thing I would say.. upstairs needs a shower. Only has a bathtub. Place is a wonderful place to stay and vacation. Love to go back

We visited in December, and even though it rained a lot, the surroundings and home offered such a homey feeling.The mountains and scenery were magnificent!

We really enjoyed the house. It was clearly built early in the last century (pre-plywood) with hand sawn lumber, yet was still outfitted with all the modern amenities to make it comfortable.

Great house. We rode atvs from the house. Great location. 2 of the air conditioners were questionable. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was perfect for an off-roading getaway. It was clean, comfortable and very peaceful. Ben was very responsive to messages. We are looking to stay here again next year.
