'The Captain's Cottage' on Lake Hamilton

The property is very old but well maintained. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking essentials. Charming decorations. It’s just a few steps to the water.They also allowed my larger dog. Only negative was a sewer smell in the air outside. Not sure where that was coming from however.

Great little homey cottage on the lake! We really enjoyed it with our 2 grandkids and puppy! It was so much fun fishing and swimming in the lake. The Cottage was close to everything but just far enough away to be quiet. I recommend Captains cottage to everyone. We would definitely stay again.

Loved spending a few nights in this lovely cottage on the water. So clean and cute. We had everything we needed. Thanks to the owners for sharing.

Great getaway. Right on the lake. Comfortable furniture for reading and relaxing. Nice car port for parking. Quick response from host for communication.

We had the best time staying here on Lake Hamilton. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck, grilling steaks, and enjoying the lake life. The house was clean and comfortable. Our host was friendly and prompt when messaging. This was exactly what we needed. We’ll definitely be back.

I absolutely loved everything about it. The property manager was great on communication always return the text or message. I would definitely stay in that specific location again.

Excellent little cottage on the lake. The cottage was very clean and close to everything. Perfect little spot to kayak the lake as well and watch the sunset.

Could have used a little better assortment of pots and pans, but it was more than adequate for what we needed. Everything else was perfect.

Host was responsive to questions but house was not very clean and some general maintenance was needed on plumbing fixtures. We never got the WiFi to work even after contacting host. Lawn is all weeds and not maintained.

Everything was in great shape for our arrival. The house was comfortable and clean. Plenty of blankets and towels and pillows. The area was quiet and we had no noise from any neighbors. Was very relaxing .

Our stay at this lake house was absolutely perfect for our family of four — my husband, our two small boys, and me. The location is peaceful and quiet, right in the heart of Lake Hamilton, and it truly feels like a little slice of heaven. We loved waking up to the beautiful lake views through the large windows every morning and enjoying our coffee on the front porch while taking in the serenity of the water. Our boys especially loved fishing right off the dock. I highly recommend walking down to the dock in the evening to take in the sunset and shimmering night lights on the water at night. The house was clean and comfortable for a relaxing getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to unwind and make memories together.

We felt at home without all the craziness. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Our senior beagle also enjoyed her stay. She loved sitting on the porch with us watching the boats go by!

The Captain's Cottage was the perfect place for four ladies to reconnect and strengthen our bonds. The covered deck was where we enjoyed the most of our time. Such an awesome place! Will recommend over and over. Already planning our return trip....

It was exactly what we were looking for. It was a bummer we couldn't open any of the windows though, as the breeze during our stay was lovely. I appreciated the decor, the dishwasher and quality towels. Bed was great. Kitchen was well appointed, liked that a lot! We were outside most of the time. Just amazing. A propane grill would have been more convenient, but the charcoal grill was in very good shape, so, that was nice. The dock was just wonderful! We fished every day and night! Boat watching was so entertaining. We were so happy to have found this property. Thank you so much!

Perfect place for a getaway

What a find! This charming cottage was exactly what we were looking for when we decided we needed a quick little getaway on the water! It is situated literally just a few steps from the shoreline with easy access to the water for our aging Vizsla to enjoy a quick swim with us! Though the fish weren’t biting at the times we chose to try, we enjoyed casting from the roomy pier. The interior of the comfy cottage boasts an adorable decor arranged with the practiced eye of an artistic soul and is well equipped with essentials. Mark and Gigi were excellent hosts, and provided reliable suggestions for making the most of the area. We would count ourselves lucky to book this property again!

Property owners were very gracious and kind. Cottage was just perfect size for me, it has two bedrooms and pull out sofa so it accomadates more. I highly recommend this cottage right on the lake, you even have your own personal pier, nice lounge chairs to sun yourself. I didn’t want to leave!

The house was comfortable. Nothing fancy to worry about and had a great dock to sit on and watch the sunset.
