The Best Times at Lake Hartwell - Large Lake House near Clemson w/Pontoon Rental

Although it was chilly weather, we enjoyed the edge of the water and the kayak. The indoor had plenty of room for family fun and games. The outdoor cooking helped to enhance our great cook's ability to provide delicious food. The only minor issue was that most of the interior doors didn't lock even when the knob was in the locked position. However, the house had a super toolbox, which allowed our handyman to fix the doors so the locks were useful.

This property is stunning and very well kept. It is right on the lake and a short drive to Clemson University. You'll come in the back way and avoid a ton of traffic. The beds are extremely comfortable and there is plenty of sitting and eating room. It's a great place for a family vacation.

We had an absolutely amazing time during our Clemson vacation! This is a wonderful host--very responsive, was able to accommodate a change in dates for us, and just overall very friendly. The house is extremely well-equipped with everything you might need. Love that there was an extra fridge so we could keep all our drinks cold and still have plenty of room for groceries. The pontoon boat is a MUST if you are staying here! We had a blast and they make it as easy as possible even if you've never driven a boat before. Also, this house is immaculately clean. Like, staying on the lake in SC, you expect a bug or two but there was NOTHING it was pristine! Beds are comfy, AC is easily controlled both upstairs and down, plenty of parking, nice TVs, wonderful kitchen, pretty views, easy to find even in the dark...I could go on and on! We will definitely stay here next time we're in town. Thank you!

Amazing place to stay for the weekend before a big football game ! We had 3 adult couples and 4 teenager girls and had way more than enough room! The house was beautiful , extremely clean and well stocked. We loved spending time on the boat and on the dock. The extra fridge in the laundry came in super handy with all of our tailgate food as well. Our communication with the owners prior to our stay was also very timely and attentive. They make everything so easy ! Thank you for a great stay; we will definitely be back !

great getaway for a week with family...

This was the best property we have ever stayed at. The house has everything you need. In the pass we have tsken pot snd pans with us, but you don't need them The kitchen is well stocked with spices and other condiments. They have a snoker., a barrell grill and a 4 burner flatop. All clean and worked perfectly. The smoker is big enough to cook 3 racks of ribs and 16 chicken thighs. The lake deck is awesome. If you kids they will love the floating mat. The master bedroom has a small room that has bunkbeds fir two children. Shopping is cery essy Ingles is 12-15 minutes. Anderson is about 25 minutes and there is an Academy annd SAMs Club. Found out later there was a WhatABurger there also. Missed out on thst. We are making plans to ho next year. We were 6 adults and 4 kids and 1 boxer dog. Plenty of room have personal space. We had such a good time. The house was comfortable and well stocked for our entire family. We loved just floating in the lake or sitting on the dock together. The neighborhood and lake area are quiet and safe for kids. We will be back next summer!

Amazing location and super nice house very clean with plenty of nice outside eating area. Beautiful yard leading to dock with amazing views. Highly recommend renting the pontoon boat as we did for touring the lake. Was an amazing vacation.

Fantastic lake retreat with lots of room and a pontoon boat for a small additional cost. Beautiful and well taken care of property. Owners are super nice and responsive.

The house was fantastic. Perfect for large families. The gathering/ eating areas were awesome with large kitchen and a great blackstone to cook on. The dock and area of the lake are picture perfect. The ability to rent the boat directly from the owners was so convenient and the pontoon was a great size, clean, ran great, and was an absolute hit with everyone. We would all highly recommend this house and will be back again ourselves. Johanna was great to deal with!

The property was as advertised, very well outfitted for a family gathering. The accommodations were terrific, The home was neat and clean and provided all the everything needed to make the stay enjoyable to all ages and interests.

Our group of 6 really enjoyed this house. The layout was great for us, with the bedrooms all feeling very cozy and quiet. (It's worth noting that the bunk bed room is only accessible THROUGH the master bedroom, which wasn't an issue for us but I don't know if we realized that ahead of time). The kitchen was well stocked with cooking pans and utensils. We enjoyed all the different seating areas, from the screen porch to outdoor dining table and the cozy living room. We also enjoyed relaxing on the dock (and a few folks went for a chilly swim!) Even though the neighbor houses seem quite close, the layout of the house and windows gave us a sense of privacy.
