An absolutely beautiful home with lovely French furnishings. The home is grand, yet comfortable. The kitchen is fabulous with everything one needs for preparing great meals & is a wonderful place to gather around the farmhouse table. The grounds are lovely & I can imagine how beautiful it must be in every other season. I had the pleasure of meeting Marzie, the host/owner. She is kind, helpful & responsive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay over Christmas.

This was a truly remarkable home and grounds!! The elegant and original furnishings were so beautiful and comfortable at the same time. We felt like we were on our own compound.

Marzie's house provided plenty of gathering space for our college reunion visitors. With several comfortable sitting areas and a very large kitchen table, we had plenty of places to sit and talk. The location is wonderful. We had privacy on the property and Poolesville is just minutes down the road and has restaurants that are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a sophisticated, rural Maryland experience that our friends loved.

Lovely house. Kitchen has all essentials and a great layout. Definitely made preparing meals easy and enjoyable. Host was helpful and responsive.

This property exceeded our expectations in every way! The host was incredibly responsive and truly delightful. We absolutely loved our stay and will undoubtedly return in the future.

It is not private as advertised - the owner lives downstairs, we could hear her TV and guests, she even came up to ask us to adjust the air temperature because she was cold. We could see and hear multiple visitors outside, including a loose, unattended dog who almost got into our section and attacked our small dog. We could also smell the cigarettes from outside. The curtains in the bedroom were tattered and hanging off the window. Many of the electrical outlets would not hold a plug and the sink backed up and let what looked and smelled like sewage came out in the other sink. The master bedroom with clawfoot tub was locked and we were denied access by the owner, so don’t plan on having everything you see. She told us we could sleep in the single beds. We’re adults and that’s not what we booked for. When we asked her about it, she then had VRBO call and interrupt my dinner twice followed by her messaging me to call them, who then put as all on one line and ended with no resolution. There was a roach in the kitchen and a half bar of used soap in the shower, plus a towel and robe that may or may not have been clean. After this experience, I will never use this type of vacation rental again.

Marzie is a gracious and generous host and the house is lovely. I don’t think I left the great room/kitchen and it’s beautiful fireplace for 3 straight days. The property was beautiful and peaceful.

We absolutely loved our time at this gorgeous property! We spent our days relaxing on the incredibly comfortable furniture, whipping up meals in the top-of-the-line kitchen, spoiling ourselves with the luxury bathing products, and exploring the amazing trails of the area. A truly relaxing experience with plenty of space to spread out! We'll be back for sure! Thank you Marzie for being an amazing host!

Marzie’s property—her home and the grounds—are exquisite. Marzie is the true gem, though...welcoming, thoughtful and generous. I hosted a bridal shower at the property and stayed overnight for two days, as well. Every guest commented on the elegant, luxurious surroundings and the warm, worldly furnishings. A first-rate kitchen, multiple living and socializing spaces and an openness conducive to a gathering of family and friends. Truly the perfect location. Thank you, Marzie, for allowing me to host this event at your home. We will always remember the architecture, artwork, stunning floors and light-filled rooms. You and your home are one of a kind!
