This property is a JellyBean row house located within walking distance of many ofSt. John’s attractions, restaurants and trails. The house has a mixture of old and new charm and provides a comfortable place to rest while visiting the city and adjacent areas. The kitchen was well stocked for those wishing to make their own meals. David was great to deal with which is always a bonus!

This was a great little B&B in a fantastic location! The owners were excellent at responding to questions and keeping in touch about information that could be helpful for our stay in St John’s. Would certainly recommend!

Excellent location within a quick walk of the downtown core. Easy check-in. Dedicated parking a plus. Very clean (always appreciated). Unique 3-story layout (embrace the stairs). Open concept entry/living room and kitchen area would be great for entertaining. Old-fashioned style bathtub is great for a sit down bath but a little challenging for a shower. Would definitely rebook.

The Bannerman is a very clean accommodation with lots of character and some nice touches including coffee pods and East Coast glow toiletries. Overall, it is as it appears in the booking pictures, however, there are some issues that are only realized upon your stay. The property has very narrow cramped staircases to upper levels, would be not feasible for anyone with mobility issues. The blue sofa bed on the second level was so uncomfortable, we couldn’t sit on it to watch TV, and the teenager in our party had to sleep on it. The door to the main bedroom on third level does not close nor are there any blinds on the third level windows in the seating area, causing privacy issues for any group other than a couple. Since the bedroom door doesn’t close, there is no option, but to dress in an area without blinds. A quick trip to Costco or HomeSense could rectify the issues with the blinds and the blue sofa bed that truly was not suitable for anyone to sleep on. If possible, I would appreciate a refund for the 40 extra child fee charged for our stay as we did not have a comfortable accommodation for him.I love St. John’s and do appreciate the area that your property is located in, but I did want to let you know of these issues that made our stay at the Bannerman less than ideal. Thank you.

This is a great little spot for a quick trip. The house is nicely decorated with both modern and vintage pieces. The bedroom is on the top floor. There are 2 small pull out beds, one on the ground floor and the other on the second floor, which is a little TV room. It’s a perfect place to have a meal and sleep but not the most cozy place if you’re planning a movie night. All in all we enjoyed this place and would stay again!

Cute property and fun to stay in the neighbourhood! However, there was a disgusting smell on the first floor which made it impossible to cook and eat… it wasn’t bearable. The hosts sounded as though they didn’t believe us, so that added insult to a dent in our stay. They offered air fresheners but with asthma we weren’t able to use them. The shower curtain kept falling on us although they sent someone to fix it right away. I am hopeful that they do something about the stench, and then it would almost be a 5/5!
