The Bangalow Barn was built from the property’s original horse stables and styled, inside and out, from recycled materials — the owners’ vision of a sustainable, eco-friendly oasis that still delivers every luxury your group could want on a coastal escape. Across the two dwellings, the Barn and the Barnita sleep eight over four bedrooms, so everyone in your party has a beautiful room of their own. Reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating run throughout, giving everyone an extra level of comfort whatever the season.

Beyond the wide, spacious decked yard, Byron Creek and the surrounding farmland roll away until your whole group can’t help but feel miles from civilisation. That stillness is deepened by your own private outdoor shower and two vintage claw-foot bath tubs, yours throughout the stay, so no one has to leave this slice of paradise to keep enjoying it. There is a very luxurious indoor bathroom for guests to use as well.

While you wander the heavenly, architecturally designed gardens, follow the river-stone steps down to the private swimming hole in the freshwater of Byron Creek, fed by natural springs upstream — the perfect place to close a warm Northern Rivers day.

For a further measure of luxury, the group can take turns unwinding in the three-person infrared sauna after a day exploring the hinterland and beyond. Then step inside and relax beside the French-designed suspended rotating wood fireplace with a glass of wine, or spend a beautiful evening around the rustic outdoor fire pit with unlimited firewood supplied.

Each room has its own ceiling fan, and with the beautiful open-plan living, double-insulated walls and roof, the breeze offers ample eco-friendly cooling throughout your stay.

Beside the Barn stands the Bangalow Barnita, a handcrafted shipping-container conversion. This one-of-a-kind tiny house is lined floor to ceiling in parquetry woodwork for a seamless flow throughout. With its high-end custom finish, quality appliances, super-soft linen, and splashes of colour amongst the rustic decor, the Barnita is luxury on every level. Its own ensuite and kitchenette open the way to indoor-outdoor living, and a movable dining table lets you enjoy a cosy dinner inside or out on the undercover deck. The sub-tropical climate invites endless hours on the expansive deck — stretched out on the movable daybed or in one of the two hanging chairs. The hardest decision you’ll face is leaving this hidden oasis you get to call all yours during your stay. The antique footed bathtub on the outdoor deck adds another layer of luxury to this unique space — the perfect spot for a cool drink in summer or a lovely glass of wine in winter.

We are `Super Pet friendly`:
We do request that guests obtain permission when making your booking and confirm how many fur babies are travelling with you. There is an additional cleaning fee if your request is approved. The host has the right to cancel the booking if approval for the pet isn’t obtained prior. We ask STRICTLY NO pets on furniture or beds. If breached, an extra cleaning fee will apply.

Children:
Little ones are very welcome. We do not supply cots, high chairs and the like, but we are happy to arrange a local hire if you need them.

- Bangalow village is just a minute from the property.
- Byron Bay is a twenty-minute drive through the surrounding hinterland to the cafes, restaurants and local beaches surrounding Byron.
- Lennox Head 22km drive
- Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta) 50min drive on the M1
- Ballina Airport - 25min on the M1

Good to know
A few things we hold firm, so every group who stays can count on the same quiet and privacy. The following are strict and remain in full force:
- No parties, events, gatherings, elopements or weddings, unless approved by the owner in advance.
- No visitors — only registered guests may enter the house at any time, unless permission is obtained from the host.
- Pets must be approved and pet fee added when you book — otherwise the host has the right to cancel the booking at any stage.
- Pets are never to be left unattended, at any time.
- No pets on the furniture or beds; if breached, an extra cleaning fee applies.
- Pets must be kept under control or on a leash at all times, unless in a fenced yard.
- No smoking anywhere on the property, at any time.
- Strictly no outside noise after 10pm.

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am.
We keep these house rules firm because they protect the peace, privacy and care that make the property what it is — please read them before you book, so your stay is nothing but easy.

A couple of things that come with our rural setting, so there are no surprises:
- Being in the country, the odd insect or animal may find its way in or around the property. We do everything we can to keep this to a minimum, but the Australian bush is ultimately out of our hands.
- Services to the house (Starlink and the like) can occasionally drop out here. We do all we can to keep everything running at full capacity throughout your stay.

A breach of these rules means immediate dismissal from the property and loss of any remaining booking.

Please check for all personal belongings before you check out — anything left behind can’t be our responsibility.
